Information processing apparatus and inputting apparatus

1. An information processing apparatus comprising:

an image generation unit configured to generate image data to be displayed on an outputting apparatus;

an acceptance unit configured to accept operation information of an inputting unit provided in an inputting apparatus having a pressable input device in communication with the inputting unit; and

a sharing processing unit configured to carry out a process of sharing the image data in response to a press of the pressable input device, wherein

the process includes at least one of uploading a shareable media to a sharing server

and initiating a streaming distribution of the shareable media through the sharing server;

the shareable media includes a name of a game player operating the pressable input device, includes a name of another game player operating another pressable input device, and includes at least one of a screenshot of a game and a moving picture of the game;

when the shareable media is presented, the names are presented together, and with the at least one of the screenshot and the moving picture, in a manner indicating the game players' relationship as players of the game;

when the press is performed not during game play, the press causes a generation of a request for sharing specifications that must be provided in response to the request before the sharing process is executed according to the provided specifications; and

when the press is performed during game play, the press without causing the generation of the request causes the carrying out of the sharing process in accordance with the specifications previously provided.

2. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

the particular inputting unit provided in the inputting apparatus is used by a user to input operation information to system software of the information processing apparatus, and

the sharing processing unit carries out the sharing process only when the acceptance unit accepts the operation information of the particular inputting unit.

3. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising

a ring buffer configured to record image data generated by the image generation unit,

wherein the sharing processing unit acquires, when the acceptance unit accepts the operation information, the image data recorded in the ring buffer and carries out the sharing process.

4. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the sharing processing unit generates, when the acceptance unit accepts the operation information, an input image indicative of choices relating to sharing of the image data.

The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the sharing processing unit generates, when the acceptance unit accepts the operation information, an input image indicative of choices regarding whether the sharing process for the image data are to be carried out or a saving process of the image data is to be carried out.

6. The information processing apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein the input image has formed therein a region into which a text is to be inputted by a user.

7. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the sharing processing unit has set therein in advance a process to be executed when the acceptance unit accepts the operation information.

8. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the sharing processing unit generates an editing image for editing the image data.

9. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the sharing processing unit uploads or distributes the image data to a server apparatus which provides a sharing service of image data.

10. An inputting apparatus configured to transmit operation information of a user to an information processing apparatus, the information processing apparatus executing system software and application software, the system software managing and controlling hardware of the information processing apparatus to support use of the information processing apparatus, the application software carrying out work to be executed by the user in an environment constructed by the system software, the inputting apparatus comprising:

a first inputting unit configured to input operation information only to the system software and not to the application software;

a second inputting unit configured to input operation information only to the application software and not to the system software; and

a third inputting unit configured to input operation information to the system software when presented with an input request by the system software, and to the application software when presented with an input request by the application software; wherein

the operation information includes a name of a game player operating a pressable input device, a name of at least one other game player operating at least one other pressable input device, and at least one of a screenshot of a game and a moving picture of the game;

when the operation information is shared, the names are presented together, and with the at least one of the screenshot and the moving picture, in a manner indicating the game players' relationship as players of the game;

when the pressable input device is operated by a press of the pressable input device, a process of sharing the operation information is carried out;

the process includes at least one of uploading the operation information to a sharing server

and initiating a streaming distribution of the operation information through the sharing server;

when the press is performed not during game play, the press causes a generation of a request for sharing specifications that must be provided in response to the request before the sharing process is executed according to the provided specifications; and

when the press is performed during game play, the press without causing the generation of the request causes the carrying out of the sharing process in accordance with the specifications previously provided.

11. An inputting apparatus having a pressable input device, the inputting apparatus configured to transmit operation information of a user to an information processing apparatus, comprising:

an inputting unit in communication with the pressable input device and configured to input operation information for causing a sharing processing unit of the information processing apparatus to carry out a process of sharing a content in response to a press of the pressable input device; and

a communication module configured to transmit the operation information to the information processing apparatus; wherein

the process includes at least one of uploading a shareable media to sharing server

and initiating a streaming distribution of the shareable media through the sharing server;

the shareable media includes a name of a game player operating the pressable input device, includes a name of another game player operating another pressable input device, and includes at least one of a screenshot of a game and a moving picture of the game;

when the shareable media is presented, the names are presented together, and with the at least one of the screenshot and the moving picture, in a manner indicating the game players' relationship as players of the game;

when the press is performed not during game play, the press causes a generation of a request for sharing specifications that must be provided in response to the request before the sharing process is executed according to the provided specifications; and

when the press is performed during game play, the press without causing the generation of the request causes the carrying out of the sharing process in accordance with the specifications previously provided.

12. A non-transitory, computer readable recording medium containing a computer program, which when executed by a computer causes the computer to carry out actions, comprising:

generating image data to be displayed on an outputting apparatus;

accepting operation information of an inputting unit provided in an inputting apparatus having a pressable input device in communication with the inputting unit; and

carrying out a process of sharing the generated image data in response to a press of the pressable input device; wherein

the process includes at least one of uploading a shareable media to a sharing server

and initiating a streaming distribution of the shareable media through the sharing server;

the shareable media includes a name of a game player operating the pressable input device, includes a name of another game player operating another pressable input device, and includes at least one of a screenshot of a game and a moving picture of the game;

when the shareable media is presented, the names are presented together, and with the at least one of the screenshot and the moving picture, in a manner indicating the game players' relationship as players of the game;

when the press is performed not during game play, the press causes a generation of a request for sharing specifications that must be provided in response to the request before the sharing process is executed according to the provided specifications; and

when the press is performed during game play, the press without causing the generation of the request causes the carrying out of the sharing process in accordance with the specifications previously provided.

13. The information processing apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein, on the input image, it is indicated as one of choices relating to the sharing that image data generated by the image generation unit is live video streamed.

14. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the sharing processing unit determines one or more processes of sharing to be executed in response to an operation situation of the particular inputting unit accepted by the acceptance unit.
