Augmented Reality System

1 . An apparatus comprising a device comprising a controller, memory, and at least one screen, the device configured to display augmented reality digital content only when a user is oriented towards a physical location where the augmented reality digital content is anchored.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the physical location is defined by at least two unique sets of coordinates, a set of coordinates comprising a longitude, latitude, and altitude.

3 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the physical location corresponds with a volume of airspace defined by at least two unique sets of coordinates.

4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the controller displays the augmented reality digital content on the at least one screen in response to the user orienting the at least one screen towards the physical location.

5 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the controller removes the augmented reality digital content in response to the user orienting the at least one screen away from the physical location.

6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the controller alters the size of the augmented reality digital content in response to the user moving towards the physical location.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the controller obscures a portion of the augmented reality digital content in response to a physical structure positioned between the user and the physical location.

8 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one screen is positioned proximal to an eye of the user.

9 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the device is positioned in a hand of the user.

10 . An apparatus comprising a device comprising a controller, memory, at least one screen, and a network adapter, the device configured to display augmented reality digital advertising content only when a user is oriented towards a physical location where the augmented reality digital content is anchored, the network adapter wirelessly connected to a remote server where the augmented reality digital advertising content is stored.

11 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein an interaction circuit of the device is configured to recognize physical engagement of the augmented reality digital advertising content by the user.

12 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the controller modifies the augmented reality digital advertising content in response to the recognized physical engagement by the user.

13 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the controller, memory, and remote server log a plurality of user actions to compute advertising metrics.

14 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the advertising metrics comprise advertising effectiveness.

15 . The apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the advertising effectiveness prompts the controller to alter the augmented reality digital content.

16 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the advertising metrics comprise a logged time the user views the augmented reality digital advertising content.

17 . A method comprising:

providing a device comprising a controller, memory, and at least one screen;

displaying augmented reality digital content via the at least one screen only when a user is oriented towards a physical location where the augmented reality digital content is anchored; and

recognizing physical engagement of the physical location by the user.

18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the physical engagement corresponds with modifying the augmented reality digital content.

19 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the physical engagement corresponds with purchasing a product or service.

20 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the physical engagement prompts the controller to alter the augmented reality digital content.
