Augmented Reality Device with Global Positioning
An augmented reality device may consist of at least a controller, memory, at least one screen, and a global positioning adapter. The augmented reality device can be configured to display an augmented reality digital content via the at least one screen with the augmented reality digital content positioned at a physical location and displayed only when a user is oriented towards the physical location.
1 . An apparatus comprising a device comprising a controller, memory, at least one screen, and a global positioning adapter, the device configured to display augmented reality digital content only when a user is oriented towards a physical location purchased by a third party.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the physical location is defined by at least two unique sets of coordinates, a set of coordinates comprising a longitude, latitude, and altitude.
3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the controller logs a global position of the device via the global positioning adapter.
4 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the global position is logged with respect to a geofence positioned proximal the physical location.
5 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the geofence surrounds the physical location by at least a predetermined distance.
6 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the geofence is invisible to the user.
7 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the position of the geofence is set by a remote server connected to a network adapter of the device wirelessly.
8 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the geofence is defined by at least two unique sets of coordinates, a set of coordinates comprising a longitude, latitude, and altitude.
9 . A method comprising:
providing a device comprising a controller, memory, at least one screen, and a global position adapter;
displaying the augmented reality digital content on the at least one screen only when a user is oriented towards the physical location; and
positioning a geofence proximal the physical location.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the controller issues a push notification in response to the device crossing the geofence.
11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the controller modifies the augmented reality digital content in response to the device crossing the geofence.
12 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the controller activates the screen in response to the device crossing the geofence.
13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the controller modifies the geofence in response to the device crossing the geofence.
14 . A method comprising:
providing a device comprising a controller, memory, at least one screen, and a global position adapter;
displaying the augmented reality digital content on the at least one screen only when a user is oriented towards the physical location;
positioning a geofence proximal the physical location; and
logging a global position of the device in relation to the geofence.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the controller logs an amount of time the device remains in the geofence.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the controller alters the augmented reality digital content in response to the amount of time the device is in the geofence.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the controller alters the augmented reality digital content from a static or dynamic image.
18 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the controller logs recognized interactions while the device is within the geofence.
19 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the logged global position is used to set a value for the physical location.
20 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the logged global position is used to calculate effectiveness of the augmented reality digital content.
