System and Method for Controlling Access to an Electronic Message Recipient
A system for, and method of, generating a plurality of proxy identities to a given originator identity as a means of providing controlled access to the originator identity in electronic communications media such as e-mail and instant messaging.

96 . A method for identifying sharing of an e-mail account by a domain, the method comprising:
receiving an inbound communication addressed to a proxy address;
identifying a originator of the inbound communication;
determining if the originator of the inbound communication maps to a contact associated with the proxy address; and
blocking communications from the originator of the inbound communication if the originator does not map to the contact associated with the proxy address.
97 . The method of claim 96 further comprising:
assigning each contact at least one subject proxy address, the at least one subject proxy address being unique to each respective contact; and
wherein the at least one proxy address is associated with a host address.
98 . The method of claim 96 further comprising determining whether the proxy address is provided to the originator of the inbound communication by the contact associated with the proxy address.
99 . The method of claim 98 further comprising blocking communications from the contact associated with the proxy address if the proxy address is provided by the contact associated with the proxy address.
