Abstract

A method for achieving code domain isolation. A first set of data is received in a first domain format. The first set of data is changed to a second domain format. The first set of data in the second domain format is captured. The first set of data in the second domain format is changed to a third domain format. The first set of data in the third domain format is prepared for receipt by a user computer system.

Claims (97)

1. A method for achieving code domain isolation, said method comprising:

receiving a first set of data in a first domain format at with a first processor located in a device;

changing said first set of data to a second domain format at an optical interface located in said device associated with said first processor;

capturing said first set of data in said second domain format at an image capturing device located in said device associated with a second processor located in said device;

changing said first set of data in said second domain format to a third domain format at said second processor;

preparing said first set of data in said third domain format for receipt by a user computer system at said second processor;

receiving a second set of data from said user computer system based on mouse click locations associated with an image wherein said image is displayed using said first set of data in said third domain format:

displaying said first set of data in said second domain format via said optical interface such that said first set of data in said second domain format is misaligned with said image capturing device; and

said capturing said first set of data in said second domain format using said image capturing device operates such that said first set of data in said second domain format is captured misaligned from first set of data in said second domain format displayed via said optical interface, and wherein said optical interface is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a number of pixel used by said optical interface and said image capturing device.

2. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

correlating said first set of data in said third domain format with a communication protocol to generate correlated information; and

preparing said first set of data in said third domain format and said correlated information for receipt by a user computer system.

3. The method of claim 2 wherein said first set of data in said third domain format and said correlated information comprise an image overlaid with a hypertext markup language image map and wrapped in a frame for compatibility with a browser at said user computer system.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein said optical interface is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a resolution used by said optical interface and said image capturing device.

5. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

periodically changing a degree of misalignment between said optical interface and said image capturing device.

6. The method of claim 5 wherein said periodically changing said degree of misalignment is achieved by changing a distance between said optical interface and said image capturing device.

7. The method of claim 1 wherein said changing said first set of data to a second domain format occurs by placing said first set of data into a video memory and said changing said first set of data to a third domain format converts said first set of data into a graphical image.

8. The method of claim 1 wherein said changing said first set of data to a second domain format occurs via an analog monitor interface that is composed of a copper material.

9. The method of claim 1 wherein said changing said first set of data to a second domain format occurs via an optical driver and said capturing said first set of data in said second domain format occurs via an optical receiver.

10. The method of claim 1 wherein said changing said first set of data to said second domain format removes digital code from first set of data.

11. The method of claim 1 wherein said first set of data in said first domain format is in a protocol associated with data exchanged on the Internet.

12. The method of claim 1 wherein said first domain format and said third domain format are digital and said second domain format is analog.

13. A non-transitory computer-usable storage medium having instructions embodied therein that when executed cause a computer system to perform a method for achieving code domain isolation, said method comprising:

receiving a first set of data in a first domain format at with a first processor located in a device;

changing said first set of data to a second domain format at an optical interface located in said device associated with said first processor;

capturing said first set of data in said second domain format at an image capturing device located in said device associated with a second processor located in said device;

changing said first set of data in said second domain format to a third domain format at said second processor;

preparing said first set of data in said third domain format for receipt by a user computer system at said second processor;

receiving a second set of data from said user computer system based on mouse click locations associated with an image wherein said image is displayed using said first set of data in said third domain format;

displaying said first set of data in said second domain format via said optical interface such that said first set of data in said second domain format is misaligned with said image capturing device; and

said capturing said first set of data in said second domain format using said image capturing device operates such that said first set of data in said second domain format is captured misaligned from first set of data in said second domain format displayed via said optical interface, and wherein said optical interface is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a number of pixel used by said optical interface and said image capturing device.

14. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 13 further comprising:

correlating said first set of data in said third domain format with a communication protocol to generate correlated information; and

preparing said first set of data in said third domain format and said correlated information for receipt by a user computer system.

The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 14 wherein said first set of data in said third domain format and said correlated information comprise an image overlaid with a hypertext markup language image map and wrapped in a frame for compatibility with a browser at said user computer system.

16. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 13 wherein said optical interface is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a resolution used by said optical interface and said image capturing device.

17. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 13 further comprising:

periodically changing a degree of misalignment between said optical interface and said image capturing device.

18. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 17 wherein said periodically changing said degree of misalignment is achieved by changing a distance between said optical interface and said image capturing device.

19. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 13 wherein said changing said first set of data to a second domain format occurs by placing said first set of data into a video memory and said changing said first set of data to a third domain format converts said first set of data into a graphical image.

20. The non-transitory computer-usable medium of claim 13 wherein said changing said first set of data to a second domain format occurs via an analog monitor interface that is composed of a copper material.

21. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 13 wherein said changing said first set of data to a second domain format occurs via an optical driver and said capturing said first set of data in said second domain format occurs via an optical receiver.

22. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 13 wherein said changing said first set of data to said second domain format removes digital code from first set of data.

23. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 13 wherein said first set of data in said first domain format is in a protocol associated with data exchanged on the Internet.

24. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 13 wherein said first domain format and said third domain format are digital and said second domain format is analog.

25. A system for achieving code domain isolation, said system comprising:

a first processor for receiving a first set of data in a first domain format;

a display associated with said first processor for displaying said first set of data in a second domain format;

an image capturing device for capturing an image of said display in a second set of data in said second domain format;

an air gap for separating said display and said image capturing device; and

a second processor associated with said image capturing device for changing said second set of data in said second domain format to a third domain format and further configured to prepare said second set of data in said third domain format for receipt by a user computer system and for receiving a second set of data from said user computer system based on mouse click locations associated with an image wherein said image is displayed using said first set of data in said third domain format, wherein said display is misaligned with said image capturing device such that said second set of data in said second domain format is captured misaligned from said first set data in said second domain format, and wherein said display is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a number of pixel used by said display and said image capturing device.

26. The system of claim 25 wherein said second processor is further configured to correlate said second set of data in said third domain format with a communication protocol to generate correlated information.

27. The system of claim 25 wherein said second set of data in said third domain format and said correlated information comprise an image overlaid with a hypertext markup language image map and wrapped in a frame for compatibility with a browser at said user computer system.

28. The system of claim 25 wherein said display is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a resolution used by said display and said image capturing device.

29. The system of claim 25 wherein a degree of misalignment between said display and said image capturing device is changed periodically.

30. The system of claim 25 wherein a degree of misalignment between said display and said image capturing device is changed by changing a distance of said optical air gap.

31. A method for achieving code domain isolation, said method comprising:

receiving a first set of data at a first embedded computer;

displaying graphical data related to said first set of data on a first display;

capturing said graphical data as a second set of data via an image capturing device;

said displaying said first set of data on said first display such that said first set of data is misaligned with said image capturing device; and

said capturing said second set of data via said image capturing device operates such that said second set of data is captured misaligned from first set of data displayed via said first display;

correlating said second set of data with a communication protocol at a second embedded computer to generate correlated information; and

preparing said second set of data and said correlated information for receipt by a user computer system wherein said first display is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a number of pixel used by said first display and said image capturing device.

32. The method of claim 31 wherein said second set of data and said correlated information comprise an image overlaid with a hypertext markup language image map and wrapped in a frame for compatibility with a browser at said user computer system.

33. The method of claim 31 wherein said first display is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a resolution used by said first display and said image capturing device.

34. The method of claim 31 further comprising:

periodically changing a degree of misalignment between said first display and said image capturing device.

35. The method of claim 34 wherein said periodically changing said degree of misalignment is achieved by changing a distance between said first display and said image capturing device.

36. The method of claim 31 further comprising:

receiving a third set of data from said user computer system based on mouse click locations associated with an image wherein said image is based on said second set of data and said correlated information.

37. A non-transitory computer-usable storage medium having instructions embodied therein that when executed cause a computer system to perform a method for achieving code domain isolation, said method comprising:

receiving a first set of data at a first embedded computer;

displaying graphical data related to said first set of data on a first display;

capturing said graphical data as a second set of data via an image capturing device;

said displaying said first set of data on said first display such that said first set of data is misaligned with said image capturing device; and

said capturing said second set of data via said image capturing device operates such that said second set of data is captured misaligned from first set of data displayed via said first display;

correlating said second set of data with a communication protocol at a second embedded computer to generate correlated information; and

preparing said second set of data and said correlated information for receipt by a user computer system, wherein said first display is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a number of pixel used by said first display and said image capturing device.

38. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 37 wherein said second set of data and said correlated information comprise an image overlaid with a hypertext markup language image map and wrapped in a frame for compatibility with a browser at said user computer system.

39. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 37 wherein said first display is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a resolution used by said first display and said image capturing device.

40. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 37 further comprising:

periodically changing a degree of misalignment between said first display and said image capturing device.

41. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 40 wherein said periodically changing said degree of misalignment is achieved by changing a distance between said first display and said image capturing device.

42. The non-transitory computer-usable storage medium of claim 37 further comprising:

receiving a third set of data from said user computer system based on mouse click locations associated with an image wherein said image is based on said second set of data and said correlated information.

43. A system for achieving code domain isolation, said system comprising:

a first processor for receiving a first set of data in a first domain format;

a display associated with said first processor for displaying said first set of data in a second domain format;

an image capturing device for capturing an image of said display in a second set of data in said second domain format wherein said display displays said first set of data on said display such that said first set of data is misaligned with said image capturing device which captures said image misaligned;

an air gap for separating said display and said image capturing device;

and

said second processor associated with said image capturing device for changing said second set of data in said second domain format to a third domain format and further configured to prepare said second set of data in said third domain format for receipt by a user computer system, wherein said display is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a number of pixel used by said display and said image capturing device.

44. The system of claim 43 wherein said second set of data in said third domain format comprises an image overlaid with a hypertext markup language image map and wrapped in a frame for compatibility with a browser at said user computer system.

45. The system of claim 43 wherein said display is misaligned with said image capturing device based on a difference in a resolution used by said display and said image capturing device.

46. The system of claim 43 wherein a degree of misalignment between said display and said image capturing device is changed periodically.
