Abstract

An apparatus includes a heel section, a mid-foot section, and a toe section. The heel section, the mid-foot section, and the toe section collectively have a geometric shape having a first slope of a polarity along an inner edge of the apparatus from the toe section to the heel section and a second slope of the polarity along the inner edge of the apparatus to an outer edge of the apparatus at the toe section.

Claims (69)

1 . A dynamic athletic positioning apparatus comprises:

a heel section having a substantially uniform height along a rear edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus;

a mid-foot section distally positioned with respect to the heel section; and

a toe section distally positioned with respect to the mid-foot section, wherein at least the mid-foot section and the toe section form a dynamically changing angled section that includes a dynamically changing slope from an inner edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus to an outer edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus, wherein the dynamically changing slope has a first slope when a first force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus and has a second slope when a second force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus, wherein the second slope is greater than the first slope, wherein the first force is substantially perpendicular to the rear edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus, and wherein the second force is at an angle to the rear edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus.

2 . The dynamic athletic positioning apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the heel section comprises:

a width and a length, wherein the width is from the inner edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus to the outer edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus and the length is from the rear edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus to an intersection line between the heel section and the mid-foot section, wherein the heel section has substantially zero slope from the inner edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus to the outer edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus.

3 . The dynamic athletic positioning apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section further comprises:

at least a portion of the heel section.

4 . The dynamic athletic positioning apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section further comprises:

a second dynamically changing slope from a rear edge of the dynamically changing angled slope to a front edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus along an inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section, wherein the second dynamically changing slope has a third slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the first force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus and has a fourth slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the second force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus, wherein the fourth slope is greater than the third slope.

5 . The dynamic athletic positioning apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section further comprises:

a third dynamically changing slope from the rear edge of the dynamically changing angled slope to the front edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus along an outer edge of the dynamically changing angled section, wherein the third dynamically changing slope has a fifth slope along the outer edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the first force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus and has a sixth slope along the outer edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the second force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus, wherein the sixth slope is greater than the fifth slope but less than the fourth slope and the fifth slope is less than the third slope.

6 . The dynamic athletic positioning apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section further comprises:

a substantially fixed slope from the rear edge of the dynamically changing angled slope to the front edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus along an outer edge of the dynamically changing angled section.

7 . The dynamic athletic positioning apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section comprises:

one or more varying compressible materials of varying density to provide a compressible gradient, wherein, when the first force is applied, the one or more varying compressible materials produces the first slope and, when the second force is applied, the one or more varying compressible materials produces the second slope.

8 . The dynamic athletic positioning apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section comprises:

the one or more varying compressible materials provides a second dynamically changing slope from a rear edge of the dynamically changing angled slope to a front edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus along an inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section, wherein the second dynamically changing slope has a third slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the first force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus and has a fourth slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the second force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus, wherein the fourth slope is greater than the third slope.

9 . The dynamic athletic positioning apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section comprises:

a chamber having a more compressible big-toe and ball-of-foot area of the toe section and a less compressible outer foot area of the toe section, wherein, when the first force is applied, the chamber is compressed to produce the first slope and, when the second force is applied, the chamber is compressed to produce the second slope.

10 . The dynamic athletic positioning apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section comprises:

the chamber provides a second dynamically changing slope from a rear edge of the dynamically changing angled slope to a front edge of the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus along an inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section, wherein the second dynamically changing slope has a third slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the first force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus and has a fourth slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the second force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning apparatus, wherein the fourth slope is greater than the third slope.

11 . The dynamic athletic positioning apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the chamber comprises:

an elastic housing;

a plurality of support and pressure shifting panels within the elastic housing; and

a liquid material at least partially filling the elastic housing.

12 . A shoe comprises:

an upper section; and

a sole coupled to the upper section, wherein the sole includes:

a specific bottom; and

a dynamic athletic positioning sole section having:

a heel section having a substantially uniform height along a rear edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole;

a mid-foot section distally positioned with respect to the heel section; and

a toe section distally positioned with respect to the mid-foot section, wherein at least the mid-foot section and the toe section form a dynamically changing angled section that includes a dynamically changing slope from an inner edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole to an outer edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole, wherein the dynamically changing slope has a first slope when a first force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning sole and has a second slope when a second force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning sole, wherein the second slope is greater than the first slope, wherein the first force is substantially perpendicular to the rear edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole, and wherein the second force is at an angle to the rear edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole.

13 . The shoe of claim 12 , wherein the heel section comprises:

a width and a length, wherein the width is from the inner edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole to the outer edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole and the length is from the rear edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole to an intersection line between the heel section and the mid-foot section, wherein the heel section has substantially zero slope from the inner edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole to the outer edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole.

14 . The shoe of claim 12 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section further comprises:

at least a portion of the heel section.

15 . The shoe of claim 12 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section further comprises:

a second dynamically changing slope from a rear edge of the dynamically changing angled slope to a front edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole along an inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section, wherein the second dynamically changing slope has a third slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the first force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning sole and has a fourth slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the second force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning sole, wherein the fourth slope is greater than the third slope.

16 . The shoe of claim 15 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section further comprises:

a third dynamically changing slope from the rear edge of the dynamically changing angled slope to the front edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole along an outer edge of the dynamically changing angled section, wherein the third dynamically changing slope has a fifth slope along the outer edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the first force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning sole and has a sixth slope along the outer edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the second force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning sole, wherein the sixth slope is greater than the fifth slope but less than the fourth slope and the fifth slope is less than the third slope.

17 . The shoe of claim 15 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section further comprises:

a substantially fixed slope from the rear edge of the dynamically changing angled slope to the front edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole along an outer edge of the dynamically changing angled section.

18 . The shoe of claim 12 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section comprises:

one or more varying compressible materials of varying density to provide a compressible gradient, wherein, when the first force is applied, the one or more varying compressible materials produces the first slope and, when the second force is applied, the one or more varying compressible materials produces the second slope.

19 . The shoe of claim 18 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section comprises:

the one or more varying compressible materials provides a second dynamically changing slope from a rear edge of the dynamically changing angled slope to a front edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole along an inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section, wherein the second dynamically changing slope has a third slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the first force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning sole and has a fourth slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the second force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning sole, wherein the fourth slope is greater than the third slope.

20 . The shoe of claim 12 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section comprises:

a chamber having a more compressible big-toe and ball-of-foot area of the toe section and a less compressible outer foot area of the toe section, wherein, when the first force is applied, the chamber is compressed to produce the first slope and, when the second force is applied, the chamber is compressed to produce the second slope.

21 . The shoe of claim 20 , wherein the dynamically changing angled section comprises:

the chamber provides a second dynamically changing slope from a rear edge of the dynamically changing angled slope to a front edge of the dynamic athletic positioning sole along an inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section, wherein the second dynamically changing slope has a third slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the first force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning sole and has a fourth slope along the inner edge of the dynamically changing angled section when the second force is applied to the dynamic athletic positioning sole, wherein the fourth slope is greater than the third slope.

22 . The shoe of claim 20 , wherein the chamber comprises:

an elastic housing;

a plurality of support and pressure shifting panels within the elastic housing; and

a liquid material at least partially filling the elastic housing.

23 . The shoe of claim 12 , wherein the specific bottom comprises one of:

cleats arranged in a cleat pattern;

spikes to provide a baseball spike bottom;

a basketball tread pattern to provide a basketball bottom;

a tennis tread pattern to provide a tennis bottom;

soft cleats to provide a golf bottom;

a blade to provide an ice skate bottom;

a ski coupling mechanism to provide a ski boot bottom;

a cross-trainer tread pattern to provide a cross-trainer bottom;

a running tread pattern to provide a running shoe bottom;

a walking tread pattern to provide a walking shoe bottom;

a dress sole to provide a dress shoe bottom; and

a snowboard coupling mechanism to provide a snowboard boot bottom.
