Abstract

A system for monitoring water chemistry of a recreational water installation includes a sensor configured to detect bather load in the recreational water installation and a controller configured to determine a required adjustment to the water chemistry of the recreational water installation based upon the detected bather load.

Claims (20)

1 . A water installation water chemistry system comprising:

a plurality of individual packets, each packet containing a chemical dose unit, each packet comprising a vapor water barrier, each packet being adapted to be movable with respect to a dispensing unit to dispense the chemical dose unit from the packet into a recreational water installation.

2 . The system of claim 1 wherein the packets are connected to each other.

3 . The system of claim 2 wherein the packets are arranged in a strip.

4 . The system of claim 3 wherein the strip is arranged in a roll.

5 . The system of claim 3 wherein the strip is folded.

6 . The system of claim 1 wherein the packets are disposed in a cartridge adapted to be placed into the dispensing unit.

7 . The system of claim 1 wherein the vapor water barrier is configured to be disrupted by a disruption mechanism of the dispensing unit.

8 . The system of claim 7 wherein the disruption mechanism comprises a blade.

9 . The system of claim 7 wherein the disruption mechanism comprises a peeling mechanism to peel the water barrier from the packet to dispense the chemical dose unit.

10 . A water installation water chemistry system comprising:

a plurality of individual packets, each packet containing a chemical dose unit, each packet comprising water impermeable material, each packet being adapted to be movable with respect to a dispensing unit to dispense the chemical dose unit from the packet into a water installation.

11 . The system of claim 10 wherein the packets are connected to each other.

12 . The system of claim 11 wherein the packets are arranged in a strip.

13 . The system of claim 12 wherein the strip is arranged in a roll.

14 . The system of claim 12 wherein the strip is folded.

15 . The system of claim 10 wherein the packets are disposed in a cartridge adapted to be placed into the dispensing unit.

16 . The system of claim 10 wherein the vapor water impermeable material is configured to be disrupted by a disruption mechanism of the dispensing unit.

17 . The system of claim 16 wherein the disruption mechanism comprises a blade.

18 . The system of claim 16 wherein the disruption mechanism comprises a peeling mechanism to peel the water barrier from the packet to dispense the chemical dose unit.
