Abstract

An audio recording and playback device, of the present invention, capable of recording and playing back audio, comprises an audio input section for converting audio input during an audio recording operation into an electrical audio signal, a power feed section for carrying out power feeds to the audio input section by means of a balanced transmission line, an amplifier section for amplifying the audio signal, a boost section for generating a power feed voltage to be applied to the balanced transmission line and outputting to the power feed section, a output voltage changing section for carrying out control to vary the output voltage of the boost section, and a control section for controlling the power feed voltage of the power feed section by controlling the power feed section and the output voltage changing section.

Claims (48)

1. An audio recording and playback device, capable of recording and playing back audio, comprising:

an audio input section for converting audio input during an audio recording operation into an electrical audio signal;

a power feed section for carrying out power feed to the audio input section by means of a balanced transmission line;

an amplifier section for amplifying the audio signal;

a boost section for generating a power feed voltage to be applied to the balanced transmission line and outputting to the power feed section;

an output current detection section for detecting output current output by the boost section to the power feed section;

an output voltage changing section for carrying out control to vary the output voltage of the boost section; and

a control section for controlling the power feed voltage of the power feed section by controlling the power feed section and the output voltage changing section,

wherein the control section controls the output voltage changing section, based on output of the output current detection section, to bring the output voltage of the boost section to a specified target voltage, and outputting to the power feed section, and

wherein the control section, when the output of the output current detection section is larger than a specified value, in a state where a first target voltage has been set and the output voltage of the boost section has been brought to the first target voltage, sets the output voltage of the boost section to a second target voltage that is higher than the first target voltage.

2. The voice recording and playback device of claim 1 , wherein:

the control section, in a case where output of the output current detection section is smaller that a specified value in a state where the second target voltage is set and output voltage of the boost section has been brought to the second target voltage, sets the output voltage of the boost section to a third target voltage that is lower than the second target voltage.

3. The audio recording and playback device of claim 1 , wherein:

the control section controls the output voltage changing section to bring the output voltage of the boost section to a specified target voltage by increasing or reducing by a specified voltage every fixed interval a specified number of times, and outputting to the power feed section.

4. The audio recording and playback device of claim 3 , wherein:

the control section changes a required time until the specified target voltage is reached by changing the fixed interval.

5. The audio recording and playback device of claim 3 , wherein:

the control section changes a required time until the specified target voltage is reached by changing the specified voltage.

6. The audio recording and playback device of claim 1 , further comprising:

an operation section, that is operated from outside, for outputting instructions to the control section in accordance with operation content, and wherein

the control section, when there has been an instruction to operate or stop the audio input section from the operation section, controls the output voltage changing section to control the output voltage of the boost section, and outputs to the power feed section.

7. The audio recording and playback device of claim 6 , wherein:

the control section, when there has been an instruction to operate the audio input section from the operation section, controls the output voltage changing section to control the output voltage of the boost section to increase, and outputs a specified target voltage to the power feed section.

8. The audio recording and playback device of claim 6 wherein:

the control section, when there has been an instruction to stop the audio input section from the operation section, controls the output voltage changing section to control the output voltage of the boost section to reduce, and outputs a specified target voltage to the power feed section.

9. The audio recording and playback device of claim 1 , wherein:

the control section, when an audio recording operation is in progress, prohibits an operation to change output voltage to the power feed section by the output voltage changing section.

10. The audio recording and playback device of claim 1 wherein the first target voltage is a first predetermined value and the second target voltage is a second predetermined value, and

wherein responsive to a determination that the output voltage of the boost section has been brought to the first target voltage,

(1) the control section determines whether or not a consumption current of the audio input section is larger than a predetermined current value, and

(2) responsive to a determination that the consumption current of the audio input section is larger than the predetermined current value, the control section sets the output voltage of the boost section to the second target voltage, and

otherwise, responsive to a determination that the consumption current of the audio input section is not larger than the predetermined current value, the control section maintains the output voltage of the boost section at the first target voltage.

11. The audio recording and playback device of claim 10 wherein the first target voltage is 24V and the second target voltage is 48V.

12. The audio recording and playback device of claim 11 , wherein the predetermined current value is 7 mA.

13. The audio recording and playback device of claim 10 wherein the predetermined current value is set to a level that makes it possible to determine whether the first target voltage is appropriate or the second target voltage is appropriate.

14. The audio recording and playback device of claim 1 wherein the output current output by the boost section to the power feed section and detected output current detection section corresponds to a consumption current of the audio input section.

A power feed method to an audio input section of an audio recording and playback device that comprises a power feed section for carrying out power feed to an audio input section via a balanced transmission line, and a boost section for generating a power feed voltage to be applied to the balanced transmission line and outputting to the power feed section, comprising

bringing the output voltage of the boost section to a specified target voltage by increasing or reducing by a specified voltage every fixed interval a specified number of times, based on output current from the boost section to the power feed section, and outputting to the power feed section; and

when the output current is larger than a specified value, in a state where a first target voltage has been set and the output voltage of the boost section matches the first target voltage, setting the output voltage of the boost section to a second target voltage that is higher than the first target voltage.

16. The power feed method of claim 15 wherein the first target voltage is a first predetermined value and the second target voltage is a second predetermined value, and

wherein responsive to a determination that the output voltage of the boost section has been brought to the first target voltage,

(1) determining whether or not a consumption current of the audio input section is larger than a predetermined current value, and

(2) responsive to a determination that the consumption current of the audio input section is larger than the predetermined current value, setting the output voltage of the boost section to the second target voltage, and

otherwise, responsive to a determination that the consumption current of the audio input section is not larger than the predetermined current value, maintaining the output voltage of the boost section at the first target voltage.

17. The power feed method of claim 16 wherein the first target voltage is 24V and the second target voltage is 48V.

18. The power feed method of claim 17 , wherein the predetermined current value is 7 mA.

19. The power feed method of claim 16 wherein the predetermined current value is set to a level that makes it possible to determine whether the first target voltage is appropriate or the second target voltage is appropriate.

20. The power feed method of claim 15 wherein the output current from the boost section to the power feed section corresponds to a consumption current of the audio input section.
