Solid forms of 3-(6-(1-(2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamido)-3-methylpyridin-2-yl) benzoic acid
The present invention relates to a substantially crystalline and free solid state form of 3-(6-(1-(2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamido)-3-methylpyridin-2-yl)benzoic acid (Form I), pharmaceutical compositions thereof, and methods of treatment therewith.
1. A process for preparing 3-(6-(1-(2,2-Difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamido)-3-methylpyridin-2-yl)benzoic acid characterized as Form I, comprising suspending or dissolving the HCl salt of 3-(6-(1-(2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamido)-3-methylpyridin-2-yl)benzoic acid in an appropriate solvent for an effective amount of time.
2. The process of claim 1 , wherein the appropriate solvent is water or 50% methanol/water mixture.
3. The process of claim 1 , wherein the appropriate solvent is water.
4. The process of claim 1 , wherein the effective amount of time is 2 to 24 hours.
5. The process of claim 1 , wherein the effective amount of time is 2 to 6 hours.
