Abstract

Disclosed are a safety service system and a method thereof. The safety service system comprises: a collection unit for collecting position information and image information related to a protected person who is registered by a protector; and a service providing unit for providing the position information and the image information to one or both of the protector and a security company upon detection of a signal that the protected person is in danger.

Claims (28)

1. A user terminal for providing a safety service, comprising:

a camera unit that obtains image information including a peripheral image of the user terminal;

a location calculator that calculates location information of the user terminal at a predetermined time interval;

a communication unit that communicates with a security system;

a memory having computer readable instructions stored thereon; and

at least one processor configured to execute the computer readable instructions to determine whether an alert signal is input from a user associated with the user terminal or a request of the safety service is received, when receiving the alert signal or the request of the safety service; transmit the location information and the image information to at least one of a guardian terminal for the user terminal and the security system;

wherein the location information indicates a current location of the user terminal, and

wherein the user terminal is registered on the security system by the guardian terminal.

2. The user terminal of claim 1 , wherein the user terminal is authenticated by the guardian terminal.

3. The user terminal of claim 1 ,

further comprising an impact detector,

wherein the impact detector is configured to detect an external impact applied to the user terminal,

wherein, in response to a detected level of the external impact exceeding a threshold value, the at least one processor is configured to execute the computer readable instructions to transmit the location information and the image information to the at least one of a guardian terminal for the user terminal and the security system.

4. The user terminal of claim 3 ,

wherein the threshold value is a value of a level of an impact applied to the user terminal.

5. The user terminal of claim 1 , wherein, in response to the alert signal being input from the user, the at least one processor is configured to determine whether an emergency situation occurs, and if it occurs, notify the guardian terminal the occurrence of the emergency situation.

6. The user terminal of claim 1 ,

wherein, in response to the calculated location being deviated from a safety zone or the calculated location being within a danger zone, the user terminal is determined as having an emergency situation, and

wherein the safety zone and the danger zone are defined by the guardian terminal.

7. The user terminal of claim 1 ,

wherein the peripheral image includes at least one image taken at the predetermined time interval or as moving pictures taken during a predetermined period of time.

8. The user terminal of claim 1 , wherein the ward location reference function comprises a function of selecting at least one ward from among a plurality of wards, and referring to a location of the selected ward.

9. The user terminal of claim 1 , wherein the ward location reference function comprises a function of playing the image information.

10. The user terminal of claim 1 , wherein the ward location reference function comprises a function of providing a name search based on a map search.

11. The user terminal of claim 1 , wherein the ward location reference function comprises a safety information providing function of providing the map screen on which the current location of the ward is marked on a center of the map, and providing safety information in which a point of interest (POI) included in the map screen is classified into a safe POI or a dangerous POI based on a type of the POI.

12. The user terminal of claim 1 , wherein the ward location reference function comprises a route searching function of providing a route guide service using a current location of the guardian as a departure and the current location of the ward as a destination.

13. The user terminal of claim 1 , wherein the ward location reference function comprises a location change function of providing the map screen on which the current location of the ward is marked on a center of the map, and changing the current location of the ward with a location selected by the guardian on the map screen.

14. The user terminal of claim 1 , wherein the ward location reference function comprises a memo function of registering a memo associated with the current location of the ward with respect to the current location of the ward.
