Abstract

A battery capable of inhibiting swollenness of the battery is provided. A cathode and an anode are layered with a separator and an electrolyte layer in between. The anode contains an anode active material containing Sn or Si as an element. The electrolyte layer contains an electrolytic solution and a high molecular weight compound. It is preferable that the distance between the cathode and the anode is from 15 μm to 50 μm, and the distance between the cathode and the separator and the distance between the anode and the separator are respectively from 3 μm to 20 μm. Thereby, expansion of the anode is absorbed, stress on the anode is reduced, and occurrence of wrinkles in the anode is inhibited.

Claims (30)

9 . A battery comprising:

a battery element contained in a film outer package member;

a cathode;

an anode;

a separator in between the cathode and the anode; and

a gel electrolyte layer comprising a polymer layer provided at least one of a position between the cathode and the separator and a position between the anode and the separator;

wherein the anode comprises at least one of silicon (Si) and tin (Sn);

wherein the polymer layer maintains an electrolyte;

wherein a distance between the cathode and the anode is from about 15 μm to about 50 μm in a region where the gel electrolyte layer is provided; and

wherein at least one of a distance between the cathode and the separator and a distance between the anode and the separator is from about 3 μm to about 20 μm in the region where the gel electrolyte layer is provided.

10 . The battery according to claim 9 , wherein the polymer layer comprises a high molecular weight compound and an electrolytic solution.

11 . The battery according to 9 , wherein the polymer layer comprises vinylidene fluoride.
