Abstract

The invention relates to 7-zminocephalosporanic acid derivative, Cefazolin, for use as the inhibitor of IL-15 and IL-2 receptors in the prevention and treatment of IL-15 and IL-2 overproduction related diseases.

Claims (8)

1 . 7-Aminocephalosporanic acid derivative—Cefazolin, for use as the inhibitor of IL-15 and IL-2 receptors in the prevention and treatment of IL-15 and IL-2 overproduction related diseases.

2 . Cefazolin for use according to claim 1 , wherein the disease is rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, sarcoidosis, T-cell leukemias or transplant rejection.

3 . Cefazolin for use according to claim 1 , wherein the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.

4 . Cefazolin for use according to claim 1 , wherein Cefazolin is to be administered in a therapeutically effective dose to an individual in need of such a treatment.

5 . Cefazolin for use according to claim 4 , wherein Cefazolin is to be administered as a single dosage form.

6 . Use of Cefazolin for manufacturing of the pharmaceutical formulation for the prevention and treatment of the diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, sarcoidosis, T-cell leukemias or transplant rejection.

7 . Pharmaceutical formulation comprising therapeutically effective amount of Cefazolin as the active ingredient and pharmaceutically acceptable carriers and/or excipients for use in the prevention and treatment of the diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, sarcoidosis, T-cell leukemias or transplant rejection.

8 . Pharmaceutical formulation according to claim 7 , in a form suitable for intra-venous or intra-muscular administration.
