3. The communication connecter as recited in claim 1 wherein at least one of said plurality of layers includes a first dielectric material and at least one other of said plurality of layers includes a second dielectric material, wherein said first dielectric material is a high frequency material having a relatively low dielectric constant and said second dielectric material has a dielectric constant greater than the dielectric constant of said first dielectric material.

4. The communication connecter as recited in claim 1 wherein said plurality of layers comprises a first layer including said first pair of electrically conductive signal traces, a second layer including a first dielectric material, a third layer including said split ground plane, a fourth layer including a second dielectric material, a fifth layer including a second split ground plane, a sixth layer including a third dielectric material, and a seventh layer including said second pair of electrically conductive signal traces.

5. The communication connecter as recited in claim 4 wherein said first, second and third dielectric materials may be made from a first dielectric material having a relatively low dielectric constant or a second dielectric material having a dielectric constant greater than the first dielectric material.

6. The communication connecter as recited in claim 4 wherein said first and third dielectric materials are made from a high frequency material having a relatively low dielectric constant and said second dielectric material has a dielectric constant greater than the dielectric constant of the first dielectric material.

7. The communication connecter as recited in claim 1 wherein the first and second sections are spaced apart.
