ACCOMMODATION LOCATION SELECTION

1 . A method for accommodation location selection by an accommodation search system, comprising:

receiving, by a processing circuit of a remote server, a location of interest from a user device;

providing, by the processing circuit of the remote server, a list of accommodations to the user device, the list of accommodations based at least in part on the location of interest;

providing, by the processing circuit of the remote server, a command to the user device to display the list of accommodations and the location of interest in a map configuration;

receiving, by the processing circuit of the remote server, an indication of a selected accommodation from the user device;

determining, by the processing circuit of the remote server, a path from the selected accommodation to the location of interest; and

providing, by the processing circuit of the remote server, a command to the user device to display the path from the selected accommodation to the location of interest.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the path is a straight line path, wherein the straight line path indicates a distance from the selected accommodation to the location of interest.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the path is a route of travel, wherein the route of travel provides directions from the selected accommodation to the location of interest.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the route of travel further provides information that indicates at least one of a distance or a travel time.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the location of interest is manually entered by a user of the accommodation search system.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the location of interest is imported by the remote server from at least one of a calendar, an itinerary, a social media account, or an email account of a user of the accommodation search system.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the location of interest includes a plurality of locations of interest, and wherein the path includes a plurality of paths corresponding with the plurality of locations of interest, and wherein each of the plurality of paths extends from the selected accommodation to one of the plurality of locations of interest.

8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving, by the processing circuit of the remote server, account information and trip parameters from the user device;

determining, by the processing circuit of the remote server, accommodations that correspond with the trip parameters; and

sorting, by the processing circuit of the remote server, the list of accommodations into a sorted list of accommodations according to a weighted scoring system based on at least one of the account information, the location of interest, an agency preference, or accommodation trend information.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the account information indicates at least one of a user preference, user accommodation history, a company preference, a colleague preference, or colleague accommodation history.

10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the sorted list of accommodations is ordered based on aggregate weighted scores of each accommodation according to the weighted scoring system, the weighted scoring system used to facilitate the determination of the aggregate weighted scores based on one or more factors indicated by at least one of the account information, the agency preference, the location of interest, or the accommodation trend information for each accommodation.

11 . A method for accommodation location selection by an accommodation search system, comprising:

providing, by a processing circuit of a user device, a location of interest to the accommodation search system;

receiving, by the processing circuit of the user device, a list of accommodations from the accommodation search system, the list of accommodations based at least in part on the location of interest;

displaying, by a display of user device, the list of accommodations and the location of interest in a map configuration;

receiving, by the processing circuit of the user device, an indication of a selected accommodation responsive to an input from a user on the user device; and

displaying, by the display of the user device, a path from the selected accommodation to the location of interest.

12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the path is a straight line path, wherein the straight line path indicates a distance from the selected accommodation to the location of interest.

13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the path is a route of travel, wherein the route of travel provides directions from the selected accommodation to the location of interest.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the route of travel further provides information that indicates at least one of a distance or a travel time.

15 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the location of interest is manually entered by the user of the accommodation search system via the user device.

16 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the location of interest is imported from at least one of a calendar, an itinerary, a social media account, or an email account of the user.

17 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the location of interest includes a plurality of locations of interest, and wherein the path includes a plurality of paths corresponding with the plurality of locations of interest, and wherein each of the plurality of paths extends from the selected accommodation to one of the plurality of locations of interest.

18 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the input from the user on the user device includes at least one of a touch input on a touch screen of the user device around the selected accommodation, a mouse click on the selected accommodation, or a movement of a mouse cursor over the selected accommodation.

19 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising providing, by the processing circuit of the user device, account information and trip parameters to the accommodation search system, the account information indicating at least one of a user preference, user accommodation history, a company preference, a colleague preference, or colleague accommodation history, and wherein at least one of the location of interest, the account information, agency preferences, or trend information are used to rank the list of accommodations according to a weighted scoring system.

20 . An accommodation search system for location selection of an accommodation, comprising:

a processing circuit configured to:

receive an indication of a location of interest from a user device;

provide a list of accommodations to the user device, the list of accommodations based at least in part on the location of interest;

provide a command to the user device to display the list of accommodations and the location of interest in a map configuration;

receive an indication of a selected accommodation from the user device;

determine a path from the selected accommodation to the location of interest; and

provide a command to the user device to display the path from the selected accommodation to the location of interest, wherein the path includes at least one of (i) a straight line path that indicates a distance from the selected accommodation to the point of interest or (ii) a route of travel that provides directions from the selected accommodation to the point of interest.
