Abstract

Dual identities can be used for contact different airlines. A personal identity can be used for contacting airlines that prefer to deal with individual customers. A corporate identity can be used for contacting airlines or airline network. Flight itineraries from all airlines can be consolidated to show to the customers.

Claims (41)

1 . A machine implemented method comprising:

using dual identities to contact different airline entities for obtaining flight itineraries.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the dual identities comprise a personal identity and a corporate identity.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the different airline entities comprise individual airlines and a network of airlines.

4 . A machine implemented method comprising:

using a corporate identity to contact an airline network for obtaining first flight itineraries from airlines in the airline network;

using a personal identity to contact individual airlines for obtaining second flight itineraries of the individual airlines; and

presenting the first and second flight itineraries to a customer.

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein contact individual airlines comprises contact one or more airlines through a website of each airline of the one or more airlines.

6 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the personal identity comprises an identity of the customer.

7 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising:

accepting, by a platform, a log in credential from the customer;

using the customer credential as the personal identity; and

using a credential of the platform as the corporate identity.

8 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising:

using the corporate identity to contact second individual airlines for obtaining third flight itineraries of the second individual airlines;

wherein the second individual airlines are configured to accept a corporate account; and

presenting the third flight itineraries together with the first and second flight itineraries to the customer.

9 . The method of claim 4 , wherein using the corporate identity to contact the second individual airlines comprises contacting the second individual airlines using the airline Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).

10 . The method of claim 4 , wherein using the corporate identity to contact the second individual airlines comprises contacting the second individual airlines using New Distribution Capability (NDC) standards.

11 . A machine implemented method comprising:

accepting a request for a first flight itinerary from a customer;

using a corporate identity to contact an airline network for obtaining second flight itineraries from airlines in the airline network, wherein the second flight itineraries satisfy conditions of the first flight itinerary;

using an identity of the customer to contact individual airlines for obtaining third flight itineraries of the individual airlines, wherein the third flight itineraries satisfy conditions of the first flight itinerary; and

presenting the second and third flight itineraries to the customer.

12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein contact individual airlines comprises contact one or more airlines through a website of each airline of the one or more airlines.

13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the airline network comprises a computer reservation system that books and sells tickets for multiple airlines.

14 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the airline network comprises a Global Distribution System (GDS).

15 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the airline network comprises Abacus, Amadeus, MU, Mercator, Navitaire, Radixx, Sabre, Travel Technology Interactive, TravelSky, and Travelport GDS.

16 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:

sorting the first and second flight itineraries according to a preference of the customer or according to price.

17 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:

accepting, by a platform, a log in credential from the customer;

using the customer credential as the identity of the customer;

using a credential of the platform as the corporate identity.

18 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:

using the corporate identity to contact second individual airlines for obtaining third flight itineraries of the second individual airlines;

wherein the second individual airlines are configured to accept a corporate account;

presenting the third flight itineraries together with the first and second flight itineraries to the customer.

19 . The method of claim 11 , wherein using the corporate identity to contact the second individual airlines comprises contacting the second individual airlines using the airline Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).

20 . The method of claim 11 , wherein using the corporate identity to contact the second individual airlines comprises contacting the second individual airlines using New Distribution Capability (NDC) standards.
