Abstract

A system and method for recommending content to a user. In embodiments of the system and method, one or more content groups is generated, at least one of the content groups including more than one type of content, and a display indicative of the one or more content groups is presented to the user.

Claims (38)

1. An information processing apparatus comprising:

at least one processor configured to

control to create a plurality of content groups based on first creation logics different from each other

wherein the plurality of content groups includes at least a product information content group,

wherein the first creation logics include at least a creation logic based on user preference data, a creation logic based on metadata of content, and a creation logic based on date and time information chosen under processor control according to previously obtained basic data, and

wherein each content group includes a plurality of contents; and

control to provide the plurality of content groups to the user, the content groups including the plurality of contents which are available to the user, the plurality of content groups being displayed in a random arrangement such that the product information content group is displayed in a random position relative to the other content groups,

wherein in response to selection of a first content from the plurality of contents, the at least one processor is configured to control to display the first content and a plurality of second contents related to the first content, and

wherein the plurality of second contents are created based on a second creation logic different from the first creation logics.

2. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of content groups is created based on music content, and the metadata of content comprises melody of the music content.

3. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the user preference data is based on data inputted by the user.

4. The information processing apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the data inputted by the user is based on voice input information.

5. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the user preference data is based on content selected by the user.

6. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to control to respectively display information related to the first creation logics of the content groups in the vicinity of the content groups.

7. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to, in response to selection of the first content from the plurality of contents, control to display the first content, the plurality of second contents, and a third content related to the first content and the plurality of second contents.

8. The information processing apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the third content is selectable from a screen displaying an indication of the first content, a list of the plurality of second contents, and an indication of the third content.

9. An information processing method comprising:

controlling, using at least one processor, creation of a plurality of content groups based on first creation logics different from each other,

wherein the plurality of content groups includes at least a product information content group,

wherein the first creation logics include at least a creation logic based on user preference data, a creation logic based on metadata of content, and a creation logic based on date and time information chosen under processor control according to previously obtained basic data, and

wherein each content group includes a plurality of contents;

controlling, using the at least one processor, provision of the plurality of content groups to the user, the content groups including the plurality of contents which are available to the user, the plurality of content groups being displayed in a random arrangement such that the product information content group is displayed in a random position relative to the other content groups; and

when a first content is selected from the plurality of contents, controlling, using the at least one processor, display of the first content and a plurality of second contents related to the first content,

wherein the plurality of second contents are created based on a second creation logic different from the first creation logics.

10. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a program for implementing a method comprising:

controlling, using at least one processor, creation of a plurality of content groups based on first creation logics different from each other,

wherein the plurality of content groups includes at least a product information content group,

wherein the first creation logics include at least a creation logic based on user preference data, a creation logic based on metadata of content, and a creation logic based on date and time information chosen under processor control according to previously obtained basic data, and

wherein each content group includes a plurality of contents;

controlling, using the at least one processor, provision of the plurality of content groups to the user, the content groups including the plurality of contents which are available to the user, the plurality of content groups being displayed in a random arrangement such that the product information content group is displayed in a random position relative to the other content groups; and

when a first content is selected from the plurality of contents, controlling, using the at least one processor, display of the first content and a plurality of second contents related to the first content,

wherein the plurality of second contents are created based on a second creation logic different from the first creation logics.

11. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of contents included in a contents group based on the date and time information relates to a current date and time.

12. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the plurality of contents is provided by an external content provider.

13. The information processing method according to claim 9 , wherein the plurality of contents included in a contents group based on the date and time information relates to a current date and time.

14. The information processing method according to claim 9 , wherein at least one of the plurality of contents is provided by an external content provider.

15. The computer-readable medium according to claim 10 , wherein the plurality of contents included in a contents group based on the date and time information relates to a current date and time.

16. The computer-readable medium according to claim 10 , wherein at least one of the plurality of contents is provided by an external content provider.
