Abstract

A method is provided for controlling stereoscopic display. The method includes a collection device obtaining a position variation between a space position of a viewer at the current time and a space position of the viewer at the previous time, wherein the position variation is an offset of parallel translation of the space position of the viewer relative to a display panel. The method also includes an adjusting device adjusting a stereoscopic display apparatus based on the space position of the viewer at the current time and the position variation.

Claims (78)

1. A method for controlling stereoscopic display, comprising:

obtaining, by a collection device, a position variation between a space position of a viewer at current time and a space position of the viewer at previous time, wherein the position variation is an offset of parallel translation of the space position of the viewer relative to a display panel; and

adjusting, by an adjusting device, a stereoscopic display apparatus based on the space position of the viewer at the current time and the position variation,

wherein adjusting the stereoscopic display apparatus based on the space position of the viewer at the current time and the position variation further includes:

calculating a shift number of one image arranging unit in a viewing zone based on the position variation;

calculating a total number of image arranging units to be shifted based on the space position of the viewer at the current time and the shift number of one image arranging unit; and

adjusting the image arranging sequence to implement the shift of the image arranging units based on the total number of image arranging units to be shifted,

wherein calculating the shift number of one image arranging unit in the viewing zone based on the position variation further includes calculating the shift number of one image arranging unit k by:

k

=

s

w

*

Δ

*

h

,

wherein Δ represents the position variation; s represents a width of one image arranging unit w represents a width of the viewing zone; and h represents a preset scale factor, and

calculating the total number of image arranging units to be shifted based on the space position of the viewer at the current time and the shift number of one image arranging unit further includes calculating the total number of image arranging units to be shifted N by:

N

=

x

k

,

wherein x represents the space position of the viewer at the current time; z represents a distance between the space position of the viewer at the current time and a slit grating; f represents a distance between the slit grating and the pixel plane of the display panel; u represents a width of an image arranging unit of a display unit and k represents the shift number of one image arranging unit in the viewing zone.

2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein:

the value of h is set in a range of 0 to 10 sub-pixels.

3. A stereoscopic display apparatus, comprising:

a display panel for displaying images;

a collection device for:

obtaining viewers' position information and a deflection angle of the display panel; and

providing the obtained position information and the obtained deflection angle to a processing device;

the processing device for obtaining a position variation between a space position of a viewer at current time and the space position of the viewer at previous time by using the collection device, wherein the position variation is an offset of parallel translation of the viewer's space position relative to the display panel; and

an adjusting device for, based on the viewer's space position at the current time and the position variation, adjusting the stereoscopic display apparatus,

wherein the adjusting device further includes:

a third calculation module for calculating a shift number of one image arranging unit in a viewing zone based on the position variation;

a fourth calculation module for calculating a total number of image arranging units to be shifted based on the space position of the viewer at the current time and the shift number of one image arranging unit; and

an image arranging sequence regulating module for adjusting the image arranging sequence to implement the shift of the image arranging units based on the total number of image arranging units to be shifted,

wherein the third calculation module is further for calculating the shift number of one image arranging unit k in the viewing zone by:

k

=

s

w

Δ

*

h

,

wherein Δ represents the position variation; s represents a width of one image arranging unit w represents a width of the viewing zone; and h represents a preset scale factor, and

the fourth calculation module is further for calculating the total number of image arranging units to be shifted N by:

N

=

x

z

)

*

u

+

k

,

wherein x represents the space position of the viewer at the current time; z represents a distance between the space position of the viewer at the current time and a slit grating; f represents a distance between the slit grating and the pixel plane of the display panel; u represents a width of an image arranging unit of a display unit and k represents the shift number of one image arranging unit in the viewing zone.

4. The apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein:

the value of h is set in a range of 0 to 10 sub-pixels.
