METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR RESOURCE MANAGEMENT FOR ULTRA LOW LATENCY (ULL) AND LEGACY TRANSMISSIONS
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for resource management for ultra low latency (ULL) and legacy transmissions. Certain aspects provide a method that can be performed by a user equipment (UE) which may be a ULL capable UE. The method generally includes receiving information indicating a first configuration based on a first transmission time interval (TTI) and a second configuration based on a second TTI, wherein: the first TTI and the second TTI are each less than a third TTI; and the first TTI and the second TTI are different; and communicating based on the first TTI according to the first configuration and based on the second TTI according to the second configuration.
1 . A method for wireless communications, by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
receiving information indicating a first configuration based on a first transmission time interval (TTI) and a second configuration based on a second TTI, wherein:
the first TTI and the second TTI are each less than a third TTI; and
the first TTI and the second TTI are different; and
communicating based on the first TTI according to the first configuration and based on the second TTI according to the second configuration.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first TTI comprises two symbols, the second TTI comprises one slot, and the third TTI comprises one millisecond.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the information comprises:
dynamically signaled scheduling information for the UE; or
semi-statically signaled scheduling information for the UE.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first TTI is configured to be used for downlink or uplink communications and the second TTI is configured to be used for another of downlink or uplink communications.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first TTI is configured to be used for communications on a first component carrier and the second TTI is configured to be used for communications on a second component carrier.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the information is indicated to the UE via a radio resource control (RRC) configuration or downlink control information (DCI).
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration comprises one or more resource blocks that are used for the communicating.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein a first resource granularity of resources indicated for the first TTI is different than a second resource granularity of resources indicated for the second TTI.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the information indicates different sets of configurations for different sets of subframes.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the information further indicates a third configuration based on the third TTI; and
the method further comprises communicating based on the third TTI according to the third configuration.
11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the information further indicates resources to be used for performing measurements for channel state information (CSI) feedback for at least one of: the first TTI or the second TTI; and
the method further comprises performing the measurements for CSI feedback for at least one of the first TTI or the second TTI based on the indicated resources for that TTI.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the information further indicates resources to be used for at least one information field in downlink control information (DCI) for at least one of the first TTI or the second TTI; and
the method further comprises communicating based on the determined at least one information field in DCI.
13 . A method for wireless communications, by a base station (BS), comprising:
determining a first transmission time interval (TTI) and a second TTI, wherein:
the first TTI and the second TTI are each less than a third TTI; and
the first TTI and the second TTI are different;
determining a first configuration based on the first TTI and a second configuration based on the second TTI; and
transmitting information indicating the first configuration for the first TTI and the second configuration for the second TTI.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the first TTI comprises two symbols, the second TTI comprises one slot, and the third TTI comprises one millisecond.
15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the information comprises:
dynamically signaled scheduling information for at least one user equipment (UE); or
semi-statically signaled scheduling information for the at least one UE.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the dynamically signaled scheduling information comprises dynamically signaled scheduling information for a first UE indicating the first configuration for the first TTI and dynamically signaled scheduling information for a second UE indicating the second configuration for the second TTI.
17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the semi-statically signaled scheduling information comprises semi-statically signaled scheduling information for a first UE indicating the first configuration for the first TTI and semi-statically signaled scheduling information for a second UE indicating the second configuration for the second TTI.
18 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the first TTI is configured to be used for downlink or uplink communications and the second TTI is configured to be used for another of downlink or uplink communications.
19 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the first TTI is configured to be used for communications on a first component carrier and the second TTI is configured to be used for communications on a second component carrier.
20 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the information is indicated by one or more bitmaps.
21 . The method of claim 20 , wherein values of the one or more bitmaps correspond to resource blocks that are used for communicating.
22 . The method of claim 20 , wherein a first resource granularity of resources indicated in a first bitmap for the first TTI is different than a second resource granularity of resources indicated in a second bitmap for the second TTI.
23 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the information indicates different sets of configurations for different sets of subframes.
24 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
determining a third configuration based on the third TTI, wherein the information further indicates the third configuration for the third TTI.
25 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
determining resources for transmitting at least one information field in downlink control information (DCI) for at least one of: the first TTI or the second TTI, wherein the determination of the resources is based on a system bandwidth or based on the configuration for that TTI, and wherein the information further indicates the resources for the at least one information field.
26 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
receiving information via a backhaul regarding at least one of: the first TTI, the second TTI, the first configuration, or the second configuration, wherein the determination of at least one of: the first TTI, the second TTI, the first configuration, or the second configuration is based, at least in part, on the signaling.
27 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
determining resources to be used for performing measurements for channel state information (CSI) feedback for at least one of: the first TTI or the second TTI, wherein the information further indicates the resources to be used for performing the measurements, and wherein the determination of the resources is based on a system bandwidth or based on the configuration for that TTI.
28 . An apparatus for wireless communications, by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
means for receiving information indicating a first configuration based on a first transmission time interval (TTI) and a second configuration based on a second TTI, wherein:
the first TTI and the second TTI are each less than a third TTI; and
the first TTI and the second TTI are different; and
means for communicating based on the first TTI according to the first configuration and based on the second TTI according to the second configuration.
29 . An apparatus for wireless communications, by a base station (BS), comprising:
means for determining a first transmission time interval (TTI) and a second TTI, wherein:
the first TTI and the second TTI are each less than a third TTI; and
the first TTI and the second TTI are different;
means for determining a first configuration based on the first TTI and a second configuration based on the second TTI; and
means for transmitting information indicating the first configuration for the first TTI and the second configuration for the second TTI.
