Abstract

Sanitary tissue products employing fibrous structures that exhibit novel compressibility properties alone and in combination with plate stiffness properties and methods for making same.

Claims (20)

1. A creped multi-ply toilet tissue product that exhibits a sum of MD and CD dry tensile of less than 1000 g/in, wherein the creped multi-ply bath tissue product comprises a 3D patterned fibrous structure ply comprising a plurality of pulp fibers, wherein the creped multi-ply bath tissue product exhibits a Compressibility of greater than 36 mils/(log(g/in 2 )) as measured according to the Stack Compressibility and Resilient Bulk Test Method.

2. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the pulp fibers comprise wood pulp fibers.

3. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the pulp fibers comprise non-wood pulp fibers.

4. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the creped multi-ply bath tissue product comprises an embossed fibrous structure ply.

5. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the creped multi-ply bath tissue product comprises two 3D patterned fibrous structure plies.

6. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the 3D patterned fibrous structure ply comprises a through-air-dried fibrous structure ply.

7. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the 3D patterned fibrous structure ply comprises a fabric creped fibrous structure ply.

8. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the 3D patterned fibrous structure ply comprises a belt creped fibrous structure ply.

9. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the bath tissue product further comprises a conventional wet-pressed fibrous structure ply.

10. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the creped multi-ply toilet tissue product exhibits a Compressibility of greater than 38 mils/(log(g/in 2 )) as measured according to the Stack Compressibility and Resilient Bulk Test Method.

11. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 10 wherein the creped multi-ply toilet tissue product exhibits a Compressibility of greater than 40 mils/(log(g/in 2 )) as measured according to the Stack Compressibility and Resilient Bulk Test Method.

12. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 11 wherein the creped multi-ply toilet tissue product exhibits a Compressibility of greater than 46 mils/(log(g/in 2 )) as measured according to the Stack Compressibility and Resilient Bulk Test Method.

13. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 12 wherein the creped multi-ply toilet tissue product exhibits a Compressibility of greater than 47 mils/(log(g/in 2 )) as measured according to the Stack Compressibility and Resilient Bulk Test Method.

14. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the creped multi-ply toilet tissue product exhibits a Plate Stiffness of less than 5.2 N*mm as measured according to the Plate Stiffness Test Method.

15. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 14 wherein the creped multi-ply toilet tissue product exhibits a Plate Stiffness of less than 5 N*mm as measured according to the Plate Stiffness Test Method.

16. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 15 wherein the creped multi-ply toilet tissue product exhibits a Plate Stiffness of less than 2.5 N*mm as measured according to the Plate Stiffness Test Method.

17. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the creped multi-ply toilet tissue product exhibits a Slip Stick Coefficient of Friction of less than 725 (COF*10000) as measured according to the Slip Stick Coefficient of Friction Test Method.

18. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 17 wherein the creped multi-ply toilet tissue product exhibits a Slip Stick Coefficient of Friction of less than 700 (COF*10000) as measured according to the Slip Stick Coefficient of Friction Test Method.

19. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 1 wherein the creped multi-ply toilet tissue product exhibits a Resilient Bulk of greater than 80 cc/g as measured according to the Stack Compressibility and Resilient Bulk Test Method.

20. The creped multi-ply toilet tissue product according to claim 19 wherein the creped multi-ply toilet tissue product exhibits a Resilient Bulk of greater than 82 cc/g as measured according to the Stack Compressibility and Resilient Bulk Test Method.
