Abstract

There is provided antibodies or antigen-binding fragments, derivatives or variants thereof which are capable of binding to the FBG domain of tenascin-C. There are also provided uses of such antibodies or antigen-binding fragments, derivatives or variants thereof, as well as methods of identifying such antibodies.

Claims (25)

1. An anti-fibrinogen-like globe (FBG) domain of tenascin-C antibody or binding fragment comprising a VH region wherein CDRH1 is SEQ ID NO: 9, CDRH2 is SEQ ID NO: 10, CDRH3 is independently selected from SEQ ID NO: 11, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, and 46, and a VL region wherein a CDRL1 is SEQ ID NO: 5, CDRL2 is SEQ ID NO: 13 and CDRL3 is SEQ ID NO: 14.

2. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein CDRH3 is SEQ ID NO: 11.

3. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 2 , wherein the VH region comprises SEQ ID NO: 12.

4. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein CDRH3 is SEQ ID NO: 30.

5. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 4 , wherein the VH region comprises SEQ ID NO: 31.

6. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein CDRH3 is SEQ ID NO: 32.

7. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 6 , wherein the VH region comprises SEQ ID NO: 33.

8. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein CDRH3 is SEQ ID NO: 34.

9. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 8 , wherein the VH region comprises SEQ ID NO: 35.

10. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein CDRH3 is SEQ ID NO: 36.

11. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 10 , wherein the VH region comprises SEQ ID NO: 37.

12. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein CDRH3 is SEQ ID NO: 38.

13. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 12 , wherein the VH region comprises SEQ ID NO: 39.

14. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein CDRH3 is SEQ ID NO: 40.

15. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 14 , wherein the VH region comprises SEQ ID NO: 41.

16. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein CDRH3 is SEQ ID NO: 42.

17. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 16 , wherein the VH region comprises SEQ ID NO: 43.

18. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein CDRH3 is SEQ ID NO: 44.

19. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 18 , wherein the VH region comprises SEQ ID NO: 45.

20. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein CDRH3 is SEQ ID NO: 46.

21. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 20 , wherein the VH region comprises SEQ ID NO: 47.

22. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein the VL region comprises SEQ ID NO: 15.

23. An antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 , wherein the VL region comprises SEQ ID NO: 125.

24. A composition comprising an antibody or binding fragment of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient and/or diluent.

25. A method of treating rheumatoid arthritis comprising administering to a subject an effective amount of an antibody or binding fragment according to claim 1 .
