A belt clip is adapted for storing a belt. The belt clip includes a first clip member and a second clip member that mechanically and removably attaches to the first clip member. The first clip member and the second clip member collectively form an elongated tunnel through which a belt can be looped.
1. A belt clip for storing a belt, comprising:
a first clip member;
a second clip member that mechanically and removably attaches to the first clip member, wherein the first clip member and the second clip member collectively form an elongated tunnel through which a belt can be looped;
wherein the elongated tunnel is formed by an upper, interior surface that is entirely concave and a lower, interior surface that is entirely convex;
wherein the first clip member is U-shaped and includes a first base portion and a first pair of legs that extend outwardly from transverse edges of the first base portion, and wherein the second clip member is U-shaped and includes a second base portion and a second pair of legs that extend outwardly from transverse edges of the second base portion; and
wherein the first clip member and the second clip member are mechanically attached to one another through a ratchet mechanism.
2. The belt clip of claim 1 , wherein the pair of legs of the first clip member of abut the pair of legs of the second clip member when the first clip member and the second clip member are attached to one another.
3. The belt clip of claim 1 , wherein the first clip member and the second clip member are made of plastic.
4. The belt clip of claim 1 , wherein a looped belt fits within the elongated tunnel when the first clip member is attached to the second clip member, and wherein a convex curvature of an upper surface of the looped belt fits snug and flush against the upper, interior surface and a concave curvature of a lower surface of the looped belt fits snug and flush against the lower, interior surface.
5. The belt clip of claim 1 , further comprising the belt, wherein the belt is stored within the belt clip.
