Abstract

Systems and methods for a security network integrating security system and network devices are disclosed. A system may comprise a gateway and first and second security panels, each located at a premises. The first and second security panels may be connected, via respective first and second wireless communication protocols, to respective first and second security system components. The first and second security panels may receive respective first and second security data from the respective first and second security system components. The gateway may be configured to receive, via the first and second wireless communication protocols, the respective first and second security data. The gateway may be configured to transmit at least one of the first security data and the second security data to a security server located external to the premises.

send, to a server located external to the premises, at least one of an indication of the at least a portion of the first data or an indication of the at least a portion of the second data.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first frequency band comprises at least one of 319.5 MHz, 908 MHz, or 345 MHz; and

wherein the second frequency band comprises at least one of 319.5 MHz, 908 MHz, or 345 MHz.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of security devices comprises at least one of a door sensor, a window sensor, a motion sensor, or a smoke detector sensor; and

wherein the plurality of home automation devices comprises at least one of a camera device, lighting control device, a door locking device, or a thermostat device.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the gateway computing device comprises a touchscreen configured to output at least one of the indication of the first data or the indication of the second data.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the gateway computing device comprises a touchscreen configured to selectively output:

a first user interface configured to enable control of functionality associated with the plurality of security devices, and

a second user interface configured to enable control of functionality associated with the plurality of home automation devices.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first data indicates a state change of the at least one security device; and

wherein the second data indicates a state change of the at least one home automation device.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the gateway computing device is further configured to enable at least one of the first wireless network or the second wireless network.

8. A method comprising:

receiving, by a gateway computing device located at a premises and via a first communication channel associated with a first frequency band of a plurality of frequency bands via which the gateway computing device is configured to communicate, at least a portion of first data output from at least one security device of a plurality of security devices located at the premises, wherein the first frequency band is associated with the plurality of security devices and the plurality of security devices comprise at least a portion of a first wireless network at the premises;

receiving, by the gateway computing device and via a second communication channel associated with a second frequency band of the plurality of frequency bands via which the gateway computing device is configured to communicate, at least a portion of second data output from at least one home automation device of a plurality of home automation devices located at the premises, wherein the second frequency band is different than the first frequency band, the second frequency band is associated with the plurality of home automation devices, and the plurality of home automation devices comprise at least a portion of a second wireless network at the premises, different from the first wireless network; and

sending, to a server located external to the premises, an indication of the at least a portion of the first data or an indication of the at least a portion of the second data.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the first frequency band comprises at least one of 319.5 MHz, 908 MHz, or 345 MHz; and

wherein the second frequency band comprises at least one of 319.5 MHz, 908 MHz, or 345 MHz.

10. The method of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of security devices comprises at least one of a door sensor, a window sensor, a motion sensor, or a smoke detector sensor; and

wherein the plurality of home automation devices comprises at least one of a camera device, a lighting control device, a door locking device, or a thermostat device.

11. The method of claim 8 , wherein the gateway computing device comprises a touchscreen; and

wherein the method further comprises outputting, via the touchscreen, at least one of the indication of the at least a portion of the first data or the indication of the at least a portion of the second data.

12. The method of claim 8 , wherein the gateway computing device comprises a touchscreen and wherein the method further comprises:

selectively outputting, via the touchscreen:

a first user interface configured to enable control of functionality associated with the plurality of security devices, and

a second user interface configured to enable control of functionality associated with the plurality of home automation devices.

13. The method of claim 8 , wherein the first data indicates a state change of at least one of the plurality of security devices or the second data indicates a state change of at least one of the plurality of home automation devices.

14. The method of claim 8 , wherein at least one of the first wireless network or the second wireless network is enabled by the gateway computing device.
