Abstract

A method for providing information about an auction for a plurality of assets is provided. A plurality of assets that is made to be available during an auction is identified. Each of the plurality of assets includes an auction state. During the auction, a matrix interface is displayed. The matrix interface includes a plurality of entries, where each entry identifies a corresponding asset and the auction state of that asset. The auction state of one or more assets is dynamically updated during the auction.

Claims (34)

1 . A method of providing information regarding a live auction event at which each of a plurality of assets is scheduled for auction, the method being performed by a computing system and comprising:

identifying the plurality of assets that are indicated for auction at the live auction event, each of the plurality of assets being associated with one of a plurality of available auction states;

receiving, during the live auction event, information indicating a corresponding current auction state of each asset of the plurality of assets; and

generating, during the live auction event, a matrix interface that displays the corresponding current auction state of each asset of the plurality of assets in real-time using the received information; and

wherein generating the matrix interface includes generating the matrix interface to include a plurality of cells, each providing an indicator of a current auction state of a corresponding asset, wherein each indicator is provided by a visually distinguishable, non-textual characteristic of a corresponding cell that maps to one of the plurality of auction states.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein generating the matrix interface further includes dynamically updating the matrix interface by changing each indicator to reflect changes in the current auction states of the corresponding assets.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein generating the matrix interface further includes transmitting data corresponding to the updated matrix interface to a plurality of user devices to enable the user devices to display the matrix interface.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of auction states includes a first state indicating that assets are to proceed to auction.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of auction states includes a second state indicating that auctions for assets are completed.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of auction states includes a third state indicating that auctions for assets are postponed.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: associating each of the plurality of assets with an asset identifier in a mapping table for the live auction event, wherein each asset identifier is associated with a reference number, and wherein generating the matrix interface includes providing, for each of the plurality of cells, the reference number of the corresponding asset.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of assets corresponds to an item of real property.

9 . The method of claim 2 , wherein dynamically updating the auction state of one or more of the plurality of assets includes adjusting a color of one or more cells.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the indicator for each of the auction states corresponds to a color.

11 . A computing system comprising:

one or more processors;

one or more memory resources storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing system to perform operations comprising:

identifying a plurality of assets that are indicated for auction at a live auction event, each of the plurality of assets being associated with one of a plurality of available auction states;

receiving, during the live auction event, information indicating a corresponding current auction state of each asset of the plurality of assets; and

generating, during the live auction event, a matrix interface that displays the corresponding current auction state of each asset of the plurality of assets in real-time using the received information; and

wherein generating the matrix interface includes generating the matrix interface to include a plurality of cells, each providing an indicator of a current auction state of a corresponding asset, wherein each indicator is provided by a visually distinguishable, non-textual characteristic of a corresponding cell that maps to one of the plurality of auction states.

12 . The computing system of claim 11 , wherein generating the matrix interface further includes dynamically updating the matrix interface by changing each indicator to reflect changes in the current auction states of the corresponding assets.

13 . The computing system of claim 12 , wherein generating the matrix interface further includes transmitting data corresponding to the updated matrix interface to a plurality of user devices to enable the user devices to display the matrix interface.

14 . The computing system of claim 12 , wherein dynamically updating the auction state of one or more of the plurality of assets includes adjusting a color of one or more cells.

15 . The computing system of claim 11 , wherein the indicator for each of the auction states corresponds to a color.

16 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations comprising:

identifying a plurality of assets that are indicated for auction at a live auction event, each of the plurality of assets being associated with one of a plurality of available auction states;

receiving, during the live auction event, information indicating a corresponding current auction state of each asset of the plurality of assets; and

generating, during the live auction event, a matrix interface that displays the corresponding current auction state of each asset of the plurality of assets in real-time using the received information; and

wherein generating the matrix interface includes generating the matrix interface to include a plurality of cells, each providing an indicator of a current auction state of a corresponding asset, wherein each indicator is provided by a visually distinguishable, non-textual characteristic of a corresponding cell that maps to one of the plurality of auction states.

17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein generating the matrix interface further includes dynamically updating the matrix interface by changing each indicator to reflect changes in the current auction states of the corresponding assets.

18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein generating the matrix interface further includes transmitting data corresponding to the updated matrix interface to a plurality of user devices to enable the user devices to display the matrix interface.

19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein dynamically updating the auction state of one or more of the plurality of assets includes adjusting a color of one or more cells.

20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the indicator for each of the auction states corresponds to a color.
