MEMORY TESTING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method, computer program product, and computing system for rendering a first group of objects for use within an alertness test being administered to a user. A disrupter configured to introduce a delay for a defined period of time is rendered. A second group of objects for use within the alertness test being administered to the user is rendered. A response is solicited from the user concerning the first or second group of objects.
1 . A computer-implemented method, executed on a computing device, comprising:
rendering a first group of objects for use within an alertness test being administered to a user;
rendering a disrupter configured to introduce a delay for a defined period of time;
rendering a second group of objects for use within the alertness test being administered to the user; and
soliciting a response from the user concerning the first or second group of objects.
2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the disrupter includes blanking a display screen associated with the alertness test for the defined period of time.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the first group of objects includes a single object.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 wherein the second group of objects includes a plurality of objects.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 4 wherein soliciting a response from the user includes:
requiring the user to identify an object chosen from the plurality of objects in the second group of objects that matches the single object in the first group of objects.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further comprising:
receiving the response from the user.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 6 further comprising:
determining a result for the user based, at least in part, upon the response received from the user.
8 . A computer program product residing on a computer readable medium having a plurality of instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
rendering a first group of objects for use within an alertness test being administered to a user;
rendering a disrupter configured to introduce a delay for a defined period of time;
rendering a second group of objects for use within the alertness test being administered to the user; and
soliciting a response from the user concerning the first or second group of objects.
9 . The computer program product of claim 8 wherein the disrupter includes blanking a display screen associated with the alertness test for the defined period of time.
10 . The computer program product of claim 8 wherein the first group of objects includes a single object.
11 . The computer program product of claim 10 wherein the second group of objects includes a plurality of objects.
12 . The computer program product of claim 11 wherein soliciting a response from the user includes:
requiring the user to identify an object chosen from the plurality of objects in the second group of objects that matches the single object in the first group of objects.
13 . The computer program product of claim 8 further comprising:
receiving the response from the user.
14 . The computer program product of claim 13 further comprising:
determining a result for the user based, at least in part, upon the response received from the user.
15 . A computing system including a processor and memory configured to perform operations comprising:
rendering a first group of objects for use within an alertness test being administered to a user;
rendering a disrupter configured to introduce a delay for a defined period of time;
rendering a second group of objects for use within the alertness test being administered to the user; and
soliciting a response from the user concerning the first or second group of objects.
16 . The computing system of claim 15 wherein the disrupter includes blanking a display screen associated with the alertness test for the defined period of time.
17 . The computing system of claim 15 wherein the first group of objects includes a single object.
18 . The computing system of claim 17 wherein the second group of objects includes a plurality of objects.
19 . The computing system of claim 18 wherein soliciting a response from the user includes:
requiring the user to identify an object chosen from the plurality of objects in the second group of objects that matches the single object in the first group of objects.
20 . The computing system of claim 15 further comprising:
receiving the response from the user.
21 . The computing system of claim 20 further comprising:
determining a result for the user based, at least in part, upon the response received from the user.
