Air filtration media with performing enhancing additives and method for application thereof
The present invention provides methods and systems for an air filter that includes a filtration material having at least one surface, an enclosed frame surrounding said filter material but exposing said one surface, said filter material having intermittent geometric shapes of latex on said at least one surface, said latex containing an enhanced additive.
1. An air filter comprising a filtration material having at least one surface, an enclosed frame surrounding said filtration material but exposing said one surface, said filtration material having intermittent geometric shapes of latex on said at least one surface, wherein the intermittent geometric shapes are circular dots, said latex containing an enhanced additive.
2. The air filter of claim 1 , wherein said enhanced additive contains at least one antimicrobial agent.
3. The air filter of claim 1 , wherein said enhanced additive contains at least one odor control additive.
4. The air filter of claim 1 , wherein said enhanced additive contains at least one antimicrobial agent and at least one odor control additive.
5. The air filter of claim 2 , wherein said antimicrobial agents are zinc pyrithione or silver based compounds.
6. The air filter of claim 3 , wherein said odor control additives are carbon, natural or synthetic zeolites, molecular sieves, silica gel, and/or baking soda.
7. An air filter comprising a filtration material having at least one surface, an enclosed frame surrounding said filtration material but exposing said one surface, said filtration material having intermittent geometric shapes of latex on said at least one surface, wherein the intermittent geometric shapes are generally square, said latex containing an enhanced additive.
8. The air filter of claim 7 , wherein said enhanced additive contains at least one antimicrobial agent.
9. The air filter of claim 7 , wherein said enhanced additive contains at least one odor control additive.
10. The air filter of claim 7 , wherein said enhanced additive contains at least one antimicrobial agent and at least one odor control additive.
11. The air filter of claim 8 , wherein said antimicrobial agents are zinc pyrithione or silver based compounds.
12. The air filter of claim 9 , wherein said odor control additives are carbon, natural or synthetic zeolites, molecular sieves, silica gel, and/or baking soda.
