Abstract

There is provided an image processing apparatus including a display image generation section configured to generate display image data by performing a display projection process in a case where panorama image data to be a display target is judged to be a full circumference panorama image.

Claims (22)

1. An image processing method comprising:

effecting one or more of a single view display mode, a list display mode, a scroll display mode and projection display mode;

receiving a user selection of an image from the list display mode;

determining whether the image selected is a full circumference image; and

entering the projection display mode and generating display image data by performing a display projection process where the image selected is determined to be a full circumference image or entering the scroll display mode and generating different display data by performing a different display process where the image selected is determined to be a panorama image other than the full circumference image.

2. The image processing method according to claim 1 , further comprising judging the image selected to be the full circumference image in a case where the image selected has a 360° viewing angle.

3. The image processing method according to claim 1 , further comprising judging the image selected to be the full circumference image in a case where the image selected has a 360° viewing angle and an alignment process of both image ends is performed.

4. The image processing method according to claim 1 , further comprising judging the image selected to be the full circumference image in a case where the image selected is obtained by a 360° imaging mode operation in which image data is generated by using a plurality of frame image data obtained by an imaging operation while displacing an imaging direction by approximately 360°.

5. The image processing method according to claim 1 , wherein the different process is a process which generates display image data for the scroll display mode.

6. The image processing method according to claim 1 , further comprising judging the image selected to be the full circumference image based on metadata associated with image data of the one image selected.

7. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein generating includes processing horizontal viewing angle information and vertical viewing angle information associated with the one image selected.

8. An image processing apparatus comprising:

a processor coupled to a non-transitory computer readable storage media storing program instructions for execution by the processor, the program instructions causing the processor to generate a display list view and receive a user selection of an image from the display list view; and

image processing circuitry to:

effect one or more of a single view display mode, a list display mode, a scroll display mode and projection display mode,

upon selection of an image in the list display mode, determine whether the image selected is a full circumference image, and

enter the projection display mode and generate display image data by performing a display projection process where the image selected is determined to be a full circumference image or enter the scroll display mode and generate different display data by performing a different display process where the image selected is determined to be a panorama image other than the full circumference image.

9. The image processing apparatus according to claim 8 , in which the image selected is the full circumference image in a case where the image selected has a 360° viewing angle.

10. The image processing apparatus according to claim 8 , in which the one image is the full circumference image in a case where the image selected has a 360° viewing angle and an alignment process of both image ends is performed.

11. The image processing apparatus according to claim 8 , in which the image selected is judged to be the full circumference image in a case where the one image selected is obtained by a 360° imaging mode operation in which image data is generated by using a plurality of frame image data obtained by an imaging operation while displacing an imaging direction by approximately 360°.

12. The image processing apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the another process is a process which generates display image data for the scroll display mode.

13. The image processing apparatus according to claim 8 , in which the image selected is judged to be the full circumference image based on metadata associated with image data of the one image.
