Abstract

A rotary mold type injection molding machine and a method for exchanging mold members of a rotary mold type injection molding machine are provided which enable relatively easy mold member exchange in a short time. The rotary mold type injection molding machine includes a fixed platen, a movable platen which is opened and closed in a horizontal direction with respect to the fixed platen, and a rotary table to which mold members are mounted and which is rotatably provided on one of the fixed platen and the movable platen. A mold-member moving mechanism which horizontally moves the mold member upon mold member exchange is provided on the rotary table.

Claims (79)

1 . A rotary mold type injection molding machine comprising:

a fixed platen;

a movable platen which is opened and closed in a horizontal direction with respect to the fixed platen; and

a rotary table to which a mold member is mounted and which is rotatably provided on one of the fixed platen and the movable platen,

the rotary mold type injection molding machine further comprising

a mold-member moving mechanism which is provided on the rotary table and which horizontally moves the mold member upon mold member exchange.

2 . The rotary mold type injection molding machine according to claim 1 , further comprising

a mold-member moving mechanism which is provided horizontally on the other one of the fixed platen and the movable platen, which is not provided with the rotary table,

wherein

the rotary table is configured to be stopped such that the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table faces the mold-member moving mechanism of the other one of the fixed platen and the movable platen.

3 . A rotary mold type injection molding machine comprising:

a fixed platen;

a movable platen which is opened and closed in a horizontal direction with respect to the fixed platen; and

a rotary table to which a mold member is mounted and which is rotatably provided on one of the fixed platen and the movable platen,

the rotary mold type injection molding machine further comprising

rollable rollers which are disposed on the rotary table in line in a chord direction with respect to a rotation center of the rotary table.

4 . The rotary mold type injection molding machine according to claim 1 ,

wherein the rotary mold type injection molding machine is configured to allow performing carrying-in or carrying-out of each of the mold members from between upper and lower tie bars on at least one of an operation side or a side opposite to the operation side.

5 . The rotary mold type injection molding machine according to claim 4 ,

wherein

a mold-member moving mechanism is also provided horizontally on the other one of the fixed platen and the movable platen, which is not provided with the rotary table, and

the rotary table is configured to be stopped such that the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table faces the mold member moving mechanism of the other one of the fixed platen and the movable platen.

6 . The rotary mold type injection molding machine according to claim 1 ,

wherein the rotary table is configured to be stopped a mold member exchange position where the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table is located below a rotation center of the rotary table when a mold member exchange mode is selected.

7 . The rotary mold type injection molding machine according to claim 1 ,

wherein the rotary mold type injection molding machine is configured to enable start of a mold member exchange operation only when it is detected that the rotary table is stopped at a mold member exchange position where the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table is located below a rotation center of the rotary table.

8 . The rotary mold type injection molding machine according to claim 3 , further comprising

wherein the rotary mold type injection molding machine is configured to allow performing carrying-in or carrying-out of each of the mold members from between upper and lower tie bars on at least one of an operation side or a side opposite to the operation side.

9 . The rotary mold type injection molding machine according to claim 3 , further comprising

a mold-member moving mechanism which is provided on the rotary table and is configured of the rollable rollers,

a mold-member moving mechanism is also provided horizontally on the other one of the fixed platen and the movable platen, which is not provided with the rotary table, and

the rotary table is configured to be stopped such that the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table faces the mold member moving mechanism of the other one of the fixed platen and the movable platen.

10 . The rotary mold type injection molding machine according to claim 3 ,

wherein the rotary table is configured to be stopped at a mold member exchange position where the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table is located below a rotation center of the rotary table when a mold member exchange mode is selected.

11 . The rotary mold type injection molding machine according to claim 3

wherein the rotary mold type injection molding machine is configured to enable start of a mold member exchange operation only when it is detected that the rotary table is stopped at a mold member exchange position where the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table is located below a rotation center of the rotary table.

12 . A method for exchanging mold members of a rotary mold type injection molding machine,

the method comprising:

providing a rotary mold type injection molding machine in accordance with claim 1 ;

upon mold member exchange, moving each of the mold members in a horizontal direction by the mold-member moving mechanism; and

performing carrying-in or carrying-out of each of the mold members from between upper and lower tie bars on at least one of an operation side or a side opposite to the operation side.

13 . A method for exchanging mold members of a rotary mold type injection molding machine,

the method comprising:

providing a rotary mold type injection molding machine in accordance with claim 1 ;

providing a mold-member moving mechanism horizontally on the other one of the fixed platen and the movable platen, which is not provided with the rotary table,

stopping the rotary table such that the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table faces the mold member moving mechanism of the other one of the fixed platen and the movable platen; and

exchanging the mold members.

14 . A method for exchanging mold members of a rotary mold type injection molding machine,

the method comprising:

providing a rotary mold type injection molding machine in accordance with claim 1 ; and

stopping the rotary table at a mold member exchange position where the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table is located below a rotation center of the rotary table when a mold member exchange mode is selected.

15 . A method for exchanging mold members of a rotary mold type injection molding machine,

the method comprising:

providing a rotary mold type injection molding machine in accordance with claim 1 ; and

enabling start of a mold member exchange operation only when it is detected that the rotary table is stopped at a mold member exchange position where the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table is located below a rotation center of the rotary table.

16 . A method for exchanging mold members of a rotary mold type injection molding machine,

the method comprising:

providing a rotary mold type injection molding machine in accordance with claim 3 ;

upon mold member exchange, moving each of the mold members in a horizontal direction by the rollable rollers; and

performing carrying-in or carrying-out of each of the mold members from between upper and lower tie bars on at least one of an operation side or a side opposite to the operation side.

17 . A method for exchanging mold members of a rotary mold type injection molding machine,

the method comprising:

providing a rotary mold type injection molding machine in accordance with claim 3 ;

providing a mold-member moving mechanism which is provided on the rotary table and is configured of the rollable rollers,

providing a mold-member moving mechanism horizontally on the other one of the fixed platen and the movable platen, which is not provided with the rotary table,

stopping the rotary table such that the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table faces the mold member moving mechanism of the other one of the fixed platen and the movable platen; and

exchanging the mold members.

18 . A method for exchanging mold members of a rotary mold type injection molding machine,

the method comprising:

providing a rotary mold type injection molding machine in accordance with claim 3 ; and

stopping the rotary table at a mold member exchange position where the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table is located below a rotation center of the rotary table when a mold member exchange mode is selected.

19 . A method for exchanging mold members of a rotary mold type injection molding machine,

the method comprising:

providing a rotary mold type injection molding machine in accordance with claim 3 ; and

enabling start of a mold member exchange operation only when it is detected that the rotary table is stopped at a mold member exchange position where the mold-member moving mechanism of the rotary table is located below a rotation center of the rotary table.

20 . A method for exchanging mold members of a rotary mold type injection molding machine including a rotary table to which each of the mold members is mounted, which is rotatably provided on one of a fixed platen and a movable platen, and which is provided with a mold-member moving mechanism,

the method comprising:

upon mold member exchange, moving each of the mold members in a horizontal direction by the mold-member moving mechanism; and

performing carrying-in or carrying-out of each of the mold members from between upper and lower tie bars on at least one of an operation side or a side opposite to the operation side.
