METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATMENT OF EPILEPTIC DISORDERS
Use of allosteric modulators and/or gaboxadol for the treatment of epileptic disorders in a subject in need thereof.

64 . A method of treating an epileptic disorder comprising administering to a patient in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprising gaboxadol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

The method of claim 64 , wherein the epileptic disorder is selected from the group consisting of epilepsy, epilepsy with generalized tonic-clonic seizures, epilepsy with myoclonic absences, frontal lobe epilepsy, temporal lobe epilepsy, Landau-Kleffner Syndrome, Ohtahara syndrome, Rasmussen's syndrome, West's syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), Rett syndrome, CDKL5 disorder, childhood absence epilepsy, essential tremor, Dravet syndrome, Doose syndrome, acute repetitive seizures, benign rolandic epilepsy, status epilepticus, refractory status epilepticus, super-refractory status epilepticus (SRSE), PCDH19 pediatric epilepsy, increased seizure activity or breakthrough seizures.
66 . The method of claim 64 , wherein the epileptic disorder is status epilepticus.
67 . The method of claim 64 , wherein the epileptic disorder is acute repetitive seizure.
68 . The method of claim 64 , wherein the epileptic disorder is Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
69 . The method of claim 64 , wherein the composition provides reduction in the frequency of seizures, the severity of seizures, or a combination thereof in a patient diagnosed with an epileptic disorder.
70 . The method of claim 64 , wherein the patient is further administered an allosteric modulator.
71 . The method of claim 70 , wherein the allosteric modulator is selected from the group consisting of a neurosteroid, a benzodiazepine and a potassium channel opener.
72 . The method of claim 70 , wherein the allosteric modulator is ganaxolone.
73 . The method of claim 70 , wherein the allosteric modulator is allopregnanolone.
74 . The method of claim 70 , wherein the allosteric modulator is a benzodiazepine.
75 . The method of claim 74 , wherein the benzodiazepine is selected from the group consisting of midazolam, clobazam, clonazepam, diazepam, lorazepam, flurazepam, and lorazepam.
76 . The method of claim 70 , wherein the allosteric modulator is a potassium channel opener.
77 . The method of claim 76 , wherein the potassium channel opener is retigabine or flupirtine.
78 . The method of claim 64 , wherein the gaboxadol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is administered once, twice, three times daily, or every other day.
79 . The method of claim 78 , wherein the gaboxadol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is administered immediately after the onset of a seizure.
80 . The method of claim 78 , wherein the gaboxadol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is administered after the onset of a seizure warning sign.
81 . The method of claim 64 , further comprising administering a compound selected from the group consisting of acetazolamide, carbamazepine, eslicarbazepine acetate, ethosuximide, gabapentin, lacosamide, lamotrigine, leviteracetam, nitrazepam, oxcarbazepine, perampanel, piracetam, phenobarbital, phenytoin, pregabalin, primidone, rufinamide, sodium valproate, stiripentol, tiagabine, topiramate, vigabatrin, and zonisamide.
82 . The method of claim 64 wherein the pharmaceutical composition is a parenteral formulation.
