Abstract

The one or more embodiments disclosed herein provide a method for automatically assembling multiple compounds into a single edible custom composition, in which each compound is individually customized to proportions formulated from a profile of an individual or group. The single custom mixture can contain a plurality of compounds including foods or flavors, nutritional additives, herbals, biologics, or pharmacologically active substances. Using the method and a related algorithm, the formulation of a custom mixture is suggested.

Claims (22)

1. A control system for receiving information from an individual, the control system comprising:

a processor, the processor configured to control the control system to:

receive health-related information from an individual or provider associated with the individual;

receive taste-related information from an individual;

determine a filler medium and formulation for dispensing in a recommended dosage for consumption by the individual, wherein the filler medium is a thixotropic semi-solid hydrocolloid that allows dissolution or suspension of compounds;

display the recommended dosage based on the determined filler medium and formulation for viewing by the individual;

receive alterations to the recommended dosage from the individual;

compare the alterations to determine if the altered dosage is suitable for intended uses; and

direct a dispenser based on the altered dosage, wherein the dispenser is configured to dispense a predetermined amount of the formulation within the filler medium to form a dosage.

2. The control system of claim 1 , wherein the health-related information includes one of medical history, height, weight, age, and sex of the individual.

3. The control system of claim 1 , wherein health-related information includes one of family history, and allergy profile data of the individual.

4. The control system of claim 1 , wherein taste-related information includes taste, texture, and size of dosage.

5. The control system of claim 1 , wherein the formulation is a supplement or pharmaceutical product.

6. The control system of claim 1 , wherein the filler medium is selected from polymeric glycosaminoglycans, polysaccharides, or combinations thereof.

7. The control system of claim 6 , wherein the polysaccharides are selected from agar, carrageenan, alginate, natural gums, carboxymethyl cellulose, pectin, dextran, dextran derivatives, pullulan, xanthan, xyloglucan, starch, hyaluronic acid, or combinations thereof.

8. The control system of claim 1 , wherein the health-related information is provided by a healthcare service professional.

9. The control system of claim 1 , wherein the formulation includes multiple components of compounds.

10. The control system of claim 1 , wherein the dosage is configured as a daily dosage.

11. The control system of claim 1 , wherein the recommended dosage is displayed on a user interface.

12. The control system of claim 1 , wherein the control system is configured to cross-correlate the health-related information of the individual to a compound database to determine a formulation.

13. The control system of claim 1 , wherein the control system is configured to cross-correlate the taste-related information of the individual to a database to determine the filler medium.

14. The control system of claim 1 , wherein the filler medium is a thixotropic semi-solid hydrocolloid that allows dissolution or suspension of compounds; and wherein the control system is configured to further direct the dispenser for dispensing dosages of the filler medium and formulation into a packet, the dispenser configured to agitate or extrude the filler medium and formulation into a dosage at which point the thixotropic semi-solid hydrocolloid becomes fluid and can be dispensed.
