Abstract

A configuration that configures a plurality of control decoding candidates can be received. A first set of the plurality of control decoding candidates associated with a first set of aggregation levels in a first transmit time interval of a subframe can be monitored. A second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates associated with a second set of aggregation levels in a second transmit time interval of the subframe can be monitored. The first of the plurality of control decoding candidates and the second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates can be different at least in one control decoding candidate. The first set of aggregation levels can be different than the second set of aggregation levels.

Claims (37)

1. A method performed by a device, the method comprising:

receiving a configuration that configures a plurality of control decoding candidates;

monitoring a first set of the plurality of control decoding candidates associated with a first set of aggregation levels in a first transmit time interval of a subframe; and

monitoring a second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates associated with a second set of aggregation levels in a second transmit time interval of the subframe;

wherein the first of the plurality of control decoding candidates and the second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates are different at least in one control decoding candidate, and

wherein the first set of aggregation levels are different than the second set of aggregation levels,

wherein the first set and second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates are based on an index associated with at least one selected from the first transmit time interval within the subframe and the second transmit time interval within the subframe, and

wherein the index associated with at least one selected from the first transmit time interval and the second transmit time interval within the subframe is at least one selected from

a shortened transmit time interval index within the subframe, where a shortened transmit time interval index is associated with a transmit time interval with a length shorter than a length of a subframe, and

a slot index corresponding to the at least one selected from the first transmit time interval and the second transmit time interval of the subframe.

2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first transmit time interval is in a first slot of the subframe and the second transmit time interval is in a second slot of the subframe.

3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein a number of decoding candidates in the first set of the plurality of control decoding candidates is different than a number of decoding candidates the second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates.

4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates are based on the first set of the plurality of control decoding candidates.

5. The method according to claim 4 , further comprising deriving a position of control decoding candidates of the second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates based on knowledge of positions of control decoding candidates in the first set of the plurality of control decoding candidates.

6. The method according to claim 1 ,

wherein the first set of the plurality of control decoding candidates is mapped to a first set of physical resource block-sets,

wherein the second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates is mapped to a second set of physical resource block-sets, and

wherein the first set of physical resource block-sets and the second set of physical resource block-sets have at least one different physical resource block-set.

7. The method according to claim 1 , wherein a transmit time interval comprises a duration in which the device can transmit and receive a transport block to and from higher layers than a physical layer.

8. An apparatus comprising:

a transceiver that receives a configuration that configures a plurality of control decoding candidates; and

a controller that monitors a first set of the plurality of control decoding candidates associated with a first set of aggregation levels in a first transmit time interval of a subframe and monitors a second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates associated with a second set of aggregation levels in a second transmit time interval of the subframe,

wherein the first and second sets of the plurality of control decoding candidates are different at least in one control decoding candidate, and

wherein the first set of aggregation levels are different than the second set of aggregation levels,

wherein the first set and second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates are based on an index associated with at least one selected from the first transmit time interval within the subframe and the second transmit time interval within the subframe, and

wherein the index associated with at least one selected from the first transmit time interval and the second transmit time interval within the subframe is at least one selected from

a shortened transmit time interval index within the subframe, where a shortened transmit time interval index is associated with a transmit time interval with a length shorter than a length of a subframe, and

a slot index corresponding to the at least one selected from the first transmit time interval and the second transmit time interval of the subframe.

9. The apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the first transmit time interval is in a first slot of the subframe and the second transmit time interval is in a second slot of the subframe.

10. The apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein a number of decoding candidates in the first set and the second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates are different.

11. The apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates are based on the first set of the plurality of control decoding candidates.

12. The apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the controller derives a position of control decoding candidates of the second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates based on knowledge of positions of control decoding candidates in the first set of the plurality of control decoding candidates.

13. The apparatus according to claim 8 ,

wherein the first set of the plurality of control decoding candidates is mapped to a first set of physical resource block-sets,

wherein the second set of the plurality of control decoding candidates is mapped to a second set of physical resource block-sets, and

wherein the first set of physical resource block-sets and the second set of physical resource block-sets have at least one different physical resource block-set.

14. The apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein a transmit time interval comprises a duration in which the device can transmit and receive a transport block to and from higher layers than a physical layer.
