Bathtub fitting standard external space while affording safe egress and larger floor area with enclosed volume
A method of making a safe egress bathtub providing safe egress by reducing slide forces extended on a user's feet upon a slippery bathtub floor, wherein the formed bathtub has a limited rectangular footprint, and an optimized floor space is formed with a substantially planar base with a length and width that define the limited rectangular footprint and a front wall, a back wall, a first side wall and a second side wall integral with and extending substantially vertically upwards from the substantially planar base. Each of the front, back, first side wall and second side wall have minimal wall thicknesses to define the optimized floor space and the front wall has a substantially planar inwardly, cantilevered upper apron deck in a substantially parallel relation to the substantially planar base.
1. A bathtub having a rectangular footprint and lower floor space and with depth perception enhancing contrasting colors, comprising:
a hollow bathtub body having a substantially rectangular shape;
said hollow bathtub body having an exposed front wall and an opposite rear wall adjacent to a building wall, said front and rear walls separated by, and connected to, respective opposite side walls;
a lower floor space of said hollow bathtub body having edges connected to inner walls of said front, rear and side walls of said hollow bathtub body extending upward therefrom;
said exposed front wall having a top apron deck surface;
said bathtub having a limited rectangular footprint and optimized floor space with an inwardly, cantilevered substantially horizontal apron deck positioned upon a top of a front wall portion of the safe egress bathtub;
said hollow bathtub body having contrasting colors being markings visually emphasizing a height and depth of said top apron deck surface positioned a predetermined height above said floor space of said hollow bathtub body,
said inner walls of said front, rear and side walls of said hollow bathtub body extending up from said lower floor base a predetermined height; said inner walls of said front, rear and side walls having a cover material provided in a first predetermined color;
wherein at least one surface is marked with a second predetermined contrasting color, contrasting visually to said first predetermined color of said front, rear and side walls;
whereby said first and said second contrasting colors provide a vivid color differentiation enabling a bather to visually ascertain said predetermined height of said at least one surface, when said bather is mounting into or out of said bathtub.

The bathtub of claim 1 wherein said at least one surface being marked with a second predetermined contrasting color comprises said top apron deck being marked with said second predetermined contrasting color contrasting visually to said first predetermined color of said front, rear and side walls of said bathtub.
3. The bathtub of claim 1 wherein said at least one surface being marked with a second predetermined contrasting color, comprises said lower floor base being marked with said second predetermined contrasting color contrasting visually to said first predetermined color of said front, rear and side walls of said bathtub.
4. The bathtub of claim 1 wherein said at least one surface being marked with a second predetermined contrasting color is a plurality of surfaces.
5. A bathtub comprising:
substantially vertical back and front walls, first and second side walls, and a flat bottom wall, all of said walls being of rigid material,
entry and egress of a user being over said front wall, said back wall abutting or is embedded in a bathroom wall;
said bottom wall extending to a rear, vertical surface of said front wall;
said back bathroom wall having wall tiles thereon, said back wall of said bathtub having a top edge sufficient in thickness to accommodate bottom edges of said wall tiles, when said back wall of said bathtub abuts, or is embedded in, a bathroom wall;
wherein said rear wall comprises a combination of a front rear wall portion of about one quarter inch in thickness, and a hollow air space portion of about three quarter inches extending behind said front rear wall up to the surface of the bathroom wall, to accommodate tile and tile grout therebetween;
side bathroom walls abutting said end walls of said bathtub, leaving access and egress only over said front wall of said bathtub;
said front wall in contact with said bottom wall is rounded at the intersection thereof; and,
each of said bathtub walls having a thickness greater at the bottom thereof than of the top thereof to provide a slightly sloped surface for drainage or for easy removal of the bathtub from a mold
said bathtub having contrasting colors being markings visually emphasizing a height and depth of said top apron deck surface positioned a predetermined height above said floor space of said bathtub,
said inner walls of said front, rear and side walls of said bathtub extending up from said lower floor base a predetermined height; said inner walls of said front, rear and side walls having a cover material provided in a first predetermined color;
wherein at least one surface is marked with a second predetermined contrasting color, contrasting visually to said first predetermined color of said front, rear and side walls;
whereby said first and said second contrasting colors provide a vivid color differentiation enabling a bather to visually ascertain said predetermined height of said at least one surface, when said bather is mounting into or out of said bathtub.

The bathtub of claim 5 wherein said at least one surface being marked with a second predetermined contrasting color comprises said top apron deck being marked with said second predetermined contrasting color contrasting visually to said first predetermined color of said front, rear and side walls of said bathtub.
7. The bathtub of claim 5 wherein said at least one surface being marked with a second predetermined contrasting color, comprises said lower floor base being marked with said second predetermined contrasting color contrasting visually to said first predetermined color of said front, rear and side walls of said bathtub.
8. The bathtub of claim 5 wherein said at least one surface being marked with a second predetermined contrasting color is a plurality of surfaces.
9. A bathtub having a rectangular footprint and lower floor space and with depth perception enhancing contrasting colors, comprising:
a hollow bathtub body having a substantially rectangular shape;
said hollow bathtub body having an exposed front wall and an opposite rear wall adjacent to a building wall, said front and rear walls separated by, and connected to, respective opposite side walls;
a lower floor space of said hollow bathtub body having edges connected to inner walls of said front, rear and side walls of said hollow bathtub body extending upward therefrom;
said exposed front wall having a top apron deck surface;
said hollow bathtub body having contrasting colors being markings visually emphasizing a height and depth of said top apron deck surface positioned a predetermined height above said floor space of said hollow bathtub body,
said inner walls of said front, rear and side walls of said hollow bathtub body extending up from said lower floor base a predetermined height; said inner walls of said front, rear and side walls having a cover material provided in a first predetermined color;
wherein at least one surface is marked with a second predetermined contrasting color, contrasting visually to said first predetermined color of said front, rear and side walls;
whereby said first and said second contrasting colors provide a vivid color differentiation enabling a bather to visually ascertain said predetermined height of said at least one surface, when said bather is mounting into or out of said bathtub.

The bathtub of claim 9 wherein said at least one surface being marked with a second predetermined contrasting color comprises said top apron deck being marked with said second predetermined contrasting color contrasting visually to said first predetermined color of said front, rear and side walls of said bathtub.
11. The bathtub of claim 9 wherein said at least one surface being marked with a second predetermined contrasting color, comprises said lower floor base being marked with said second predetermined contrasting color contrasting visually to said first predetermined color of said front, rear and side walls of said bathtub.
12. The bathtub of claim 9 wherein said at least one surface being marked with a second predetermined contrasting color is a plurality of surfaces.
