Abstract

Systems and methods to provide a navigated-shopping service are discussed. In an example, a method for navigated-shopping can include receiving a destination location, accessing a route to the destination, displaying the route with indications of a plurality of items for purchase, receiving selection of a selected item, and purchasing the selected item. The plurality of items for purchase can be within a predefined distance of at least one point along the route. The selection of the selected item can include selection of a retail location of a plurality of retail locations along the route.

Claims (57)

1. A method comprising:

maintaining an item list that includes item list that includes an item of interest, the item list associated with a user profile of a user;

receiving search criteria from the user, the search criteria including a maximum distance from the user;

assigning the search criteria to the item of interest within the item list;

detecting an item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user, the item listing including an item description; and

causing display of the item description of the item of interest at a client device in response to detecting the item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the maximum distance includes a duration of time.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the item listing includes a location identifier, and the method further comprises:

causing display of a route to a location identified by the location identifier of the item listing.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises:

causing display of a set of purchase options associated with the item listing;

receiving a selection of a purchase option from among the set of purchase options; and

causing a purchase of the item of interest based on the selection of the purchase option.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the item description includes a location identifier that identifies a location associated with the item of interest, and the causing display of the item description of the item of interest at the client device in response to the detecting the item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user includes:

causing display of a map image that depicts a region that includes the location; and

presenting the item description of the item of interest at the location within the map image.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the search criteria further comprises a maximum price.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the causing display of the item description of the item of interest at the client device in response to the detecting the item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user includes:

presenting a notification at the client device in response to the detecting the item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user, wherein the notification includes the item description.

8. A system comprising:

one or more processors; and

a memory device including instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors on the navigated-shopping-service server, cause the server to perform operations comprising:

maintaining an item list that includes an item of interest, the item list associated with a user profile of a user;

receiving search criteria from the user, the search criteria including a maximum distance from the user;

assigning the search criteria to the item of interest within the item list;

detecting an item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user, the item listing including an item description; and

causing display of the item description of the item of interest at a client device in response to detecting the item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the maximum distance includes a duration of time.

10. The system of claim 8 , wherein the item listing includes a location identifier, and the instructions cause the system to perform operations further comprising:

causing display of a route to a location identified by the location identifier of the item listing.

11. The system of claim 8 , wherein the instructions cause the system to perform operations further comprising:

causing display of a set of purchase options associated with the item listing;

receiving a selection of a purchase option from among the set of purchase options; and

causing a purchase of the item of interest based on the selection of the purchase option.

12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the item description includes a location identifier that identifies a location associated with the item of interest, and the causing display of the item description of the item of interest at the client device in response to the detecting the item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user includes:

causing display of a map image that depicts a region that includes the location; and

presenting the item description of the item of interest at the location within the map image.

13. The system of claim 8 , wherein the search criteria further comprises a maximum price.

14. The system of claim 8 , wherein the causing display of the item description of the item of interest at the client device in response to the detecting the item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user includes:

presenting a notification at the client device in response to the detecting the item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user, wherein the notification includes the item description.

15. A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by one or more processors on a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:

maintaining an item list that includes an item of interest, the item list associated with a user profile of a user;

receiving search criteria from the user, the search criteria including a maximum distance from the user;

assigning the search criteria to the item of interest within the item list;

detecting an item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user, the item listing including an item description; and

causing display of the item description of the item of interest at a client device in response to detecting the item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user.

16. The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the maximum distance includes a duration of time.

17. The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the instructions cause the machine to perform operations further comprising:

causing display of a route to a location identified by the location identifier of the item listing.

18. The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the instructions cause the machine to perform operations further comprising:

causing display of a set of purchase options associated with the item listing;

receiving a selection of a purchase option from among the set of purchase options; and

causing a purchase of the item of interest based on the selection of the purchase option.

19. The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the item description includes a location identifier that identifies a location associated with the item of interest, and the causing display of the item description of the item of interest at the client device in response to the detecting the item listing for the item of interest within the maximum distance of the user includes:

causing display of a map image that depicts a region that includes the location; and

presenting the item description of the item of interest at the location within the map image.

20. The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the search criteria further comprises a maximum price.
