Bioabsorbable polymeric composition for a medical device
A crystallized bioabsorbable polymer scaffold comprises a polymer composition of poly (L-lactide-co-tri-methylene-carbonate) or poly (D-lactide-co-tri-methylene-carbonate) or poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) or poly (D-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) in the form of block copolymers of blocky copolymers, wherein the scaffold is cold-bendable.

A crystallized bioabsorbable polymer scaffold comprising a polymer composition of poly (L-lactide-co-tri-methylene-carbonate) or poly (D-lactide-co-tri-methylene-carbonate) or poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) or poly (D-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) in the form of block copolymers of blocky copolymers, wherein the scaffold is cold-bendable.
2. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 1 , wherein the scaffold is cold bendable at temperatures in a range of about 10° C. to about 30° C.
3. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 1 , wherein the polymer composition comprises poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) or poly (D-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone).
4. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 1 , wherein the polymer composition comprises poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone).
5. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 1 , further comprising a poly (L-lactide) moiety or a poly (D-lactide) moiety or a poly L-lactide-co-PEG moiety or a poly D-lactide-co-PEG moiety.
6. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 1 , wherein the composition includes increased hydrophilicity and free molecular volume allowing for uptake of water.
7. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 1 , wherein the composition includes amorphous and semicrystalline polymer portions.
8. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 7 , wherein a crystallinity and tensile strength of the composition is adjustable by elongation of the semicrystalline portion.
9. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 1 , further comprising at least one radiopaque marker.
10. A crystallized bioabsorbable polymer scaffold comprising a polymer composition of poly (L-lactide-co-tri-methylene-carbonate) or poly (D-lactide-co-tri-methylene-carbonate) or poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) or poly (D-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) in the form of block copolymers of blocky copolymers, wherein the scaffold crystallizes in response to orthogonal strain.
11. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 10 , wherein the scaffold includes struts that orient and crystallize in response to orthogonal strain upon deployment.
12. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 10 , wherein the polymer composition comprises poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) or poly (D-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone).
13. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 10 , wherein the polymer composition comprises poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone).
14. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 10 , further comprising a poly (L-lactide) moiety or a poly (D-lactide) moiety or a poly L-lactide-co-PEG moiety or a poly D-lactide-co-PEG moiety.
15. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 10 , wherein the composition includes increased hydrophilicity and free molecular volume allowing for uptake of water.
16. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 10 , wherein the composition includes amorphous and semicrystalline polymer portions.
17. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 10 , further comprising at least one radiopaque marker.

A crystallized bioabsorbable polymer scaffold comprising a polymer composition of poly (L-lactide-co-tri-methylene-carbonate) or poly (D-lactide-co-tri-methylene-carbonate) or poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) or poly (D-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) wherein a contaminant monomeric residual fraction in the scaffold does not exceed about 0.5%.
19. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 18 , wherein contaminant monomeric residual fraction in the scaffold does not exceed about 0.3%.
20. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 18 , wherein contaminant monomeric residual fraction in the scaffold does not exceed about 0.2%.
21. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 18 , wherein the polymer composition comprises poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) or poly (D-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone).
22. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 18 , wherein the polymer composition comprises poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone).
23. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 18 , further comprising a poly (L-lactide) moiety or a poly (D-lactide) moiety or a poly L-lactide-co-PEG moiety or a poly D-lactide-co-PEG moiety.
24. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 18 , wherein the composition includes increased hydrophilicity and free molecular volume allowing for uptake of water.
25. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 18 , wherein the composition includes amorphous and semicrystalline polymer portions.
26. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 25 , wherein a crystallinity and tensile strength of the composition is adjustable by elongation of the semicrystalline portion.
27. The bioabsorbable polymer scaffold of claim 18 , further comprising at least one radiopaque marker.
