Abstract

A device may receive information related to a first plurality of individuals and an individual. Each of the first plurality of individuals may be associated with a respective one or more accounts. The device may receive a request to match the individual and one or more individuals. The device may determine a match of the individual and the one or more individuals based on the information. The device may receive, from a user device associated with the individual, a selection of an account, of the respective one or more accounts, associated with another individual of the first plurality of individuals. The device may provide, for display to the other individual, a notification that the individual and the other individual have been matched and that the individual selected the account associated with the other individual. The device may perform one or more actions related to completing the transaction using the account.

Claims (78)

1 . A device, comprising:

one or more memories; and

one or more processors, communicatively coupled to the one or more memories, configured to:

determine that a potential account user is to use an account of an account owner to complete a transaction,

the account being associated with receiving a benefit in association with being used to complete the transaction,

the potential account user and the account owner being different,

the potential account user not being an authorized user of the account at a time of determining that the potential account user is to use the account;

store information identifying that the potential account user is to use the account to complete the transaction after determining that the potential account user is to use the account,

the information to facilitate use of the account by the potential account user;

provide a set of instructions to another device to configure the other device in a manner that facilitates completion of the transaction via use of the account by the potential account user after storing the information; and

perform an action to complete the transaction via use of the account by the potential account user after providing the set of instructions.

2 . The device of claim 1 , where the one or more processors, when providing the set of instructions, are configured to:

provide the set of instructions to configure a transaction terminal or a transaction backend device to process other information related to the potential account user rather than the account owner when completing the transaction.

3 . The device of claim 1 , where the one or more processors are further configured to:

receive, from a user device associated with the potential account user, information identifying the account; and

where the one or more processors, when determining that the potential account user is to use the account, are configured to:

determine that the potential account user is to use the account based on the information identifying the account from the user device.

4 . The device of claim 1 , where the one or more processors, when performing the action, are configured to:

update the account to identify the potential account user as the authorized user of the account.

5 . The device of claim 1 , where the one or more processors are further configured to:

update the account to remove the potential account user as the authorized user of the account based on the transaction being completed.

6 . The device of claim 1 , where the one or more processors, when providing the set of instructions, are configured to:

provide the set of instructions to configure a transaction terminal or a transaction backend device to process a security token generated by the device to complete the transaction,

the security token providing the potential account user with a capability to use the account to complete the transaction.

7 . The device of claim 1 , where the one or more processors, when performing the action, are configured to:

complete the transaction by using the account to complete the transaction.

8 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions, the instructions comprising:

one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a device, cause the one or more processors to:

determine that a potential account user is to use an account of an account owner to complete a transaction,

the potential account user and the account owner being different,

the potential account user not being an authorized user of the account at a time of determining that the potential account user is to use the account,

the account being associated with receiving a benefit in association with being used to complete the transaction,

the benefit including:

 a discount,

 cash back,

 loyalty points, or

 rewards points;

store information identifying that the potential account user is to use the account to complete the transaction after determining that the potential account user is to use the account; and

perform an action to configure the device or another device in a manner that facilitates use of the account by the potential account user to complete the transaction after storing the information.

9 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , where the one or more instructions, that cause the one or more processors to perform the action, cause the one or more processors to:

configure a transaction terminal or a transaction backend device to communicate with the device to complete the transaction.

10 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , where the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the one or more processors to:

start a timer after adding the potential account user as the authorized user for the account,

the timer indicating an amount of time during which the potential account user is to be added as the authorized user for the account.

11 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , where the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the one or more processors to:

generate a security token to be used by the potential account user to complete the transaction based on determining that the potential account user is to use the account.

12 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 11 , where the one or more instructions, that cause the one or more processors to perform the action, cause the one or more processors to:

configure a transaction terminal or a transaction backend device to process the security token to complete the transaction after generating the security token.

13 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , where the one or more instructions, that cause the one or more processors to perform the action, cause the one or more processors to:

provide, to a user device associated with the potential account user, a notification that the potential account user has been added to the account as the authorized user.

14 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , where the one or more instructions, that cause the one or more processors to perform the action, cause the one or more processors to:

provide, to a transaction terminal or a transaction backend device, a notification that the transaction has been completed using the account.

15 . A method, comprising:

receiving, by a device, an indication that a potential account user wants to use an account of an account owner to complete a transaction;

determining, by the device, that the potential account user is to use the account after receiving the indication,

the potential account user and the account owner being different,

the potential account user not being an authorized user of the account at a time of determining that the potential account user is to use the account,

the account including:

a rewards account,

a checking account,

a savings account, or

a loyalty account;

storing, by the device, information identifying that the potential account user is to use the account to complete the transaction after determining that the potential account user is to use the account;

providing a set of instructions to another device to configure the other device in a manner that facilitates completion of the transaction via use of the account by the potential account user; and

performing, by the device, an action to facilitate completion of the transaction via use of the account by the potential account user after providing the set of instructions.

16 . The method of claim 15 , where performing the action comprises:

adding the potential account user to the account as the authorized user after determining that the potential account user is to use the account; and

starting a timer after adding the potential account user to the account,

the timer indicating an amount of time for which the potential account user is to be added to the account as the authorized user.

17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising:

detecting that the timer has expired after starting the timer; and

removing the potential account user from the account as the authorized user after detecting that the timer has expired.

18 . The method of claim 15 , where providing the set of instructions comprises:

providing the set of instructions to configure a transaction terminal or a transaction backend device to communicate with the device to approve use of the account by the potential account user when completing the transaction.

19 . The method of claim 15 , further comprising:

providing, to a user device associated with the potential account user and for display, a notification indicating that the potential account user has been added to the account as the authorized user after storing the information.

20 . The method of claim 15 , where providing the set of instructions comprises:

providing the set of instructions to configure a transaction terminal or a transaction backend device to request other information related to the potential account user rather than the account owner when approving use of the account for the transaction.
