Abstract

An Aerial Robotics Network (ARN) Management Infrastructure (MI) (also referred to as ARNMI) that provides a mechanism for the management of aerobots.

Claims (103)

1. A method, comprising:

receiving, by a device, geospatial data from data sources,

the geospatial data including data points representing information regarding a structure,

the data points being associated with vertices associated with a geometry of the structure;

generating, by the device, geospatial information based on the geospatial data, the geospatial information including a set of points derived from the vertices,

the geospatial information being indexed across a tile grid of tessellated structures, and

the geospatial information being indexed using space filling curves;

storing, by the device, the geospatial information and associated metadata across the tile grid of tessellated structures;

receiving, by the device, aircraft data related to at least one aerobot;

receiving, by the device, flight information related to the at least one aerobot;

querying, by the device, the geospatial information based on indexing the geospatial information,

the geospatial information being searchable based on the tile grid of tessellated structures,

the tile grid of tessellated structures to act as addressable components of a routing network, and

a plurality of cells within the tile grid of tessellated structures being used as containers for a threshold amount of aerobots; and

implementing, by the device, management of multiple networks of aerobots based on the geospatial information, the flight information, and the aircraft data,

the multiple networks of aerobots including the at least one aerobot.

2. The method of claim 1 , where the structure and the associated metadata are stored in two-dimensions across the tile grid of the tessellated structures.

3. The method of claim 1 , where the set of points represent a circle and include:

a center point of the circle, and

a radius of the circle.

4. The method of claim 1 , where the set of points represent an arc and include:

a center point of the arc,

a radius of the arc,

a start angle, and

an end angle.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

obtaining image information for generating a three-dimensional model of at least one route for use by the at least one aerobot,

where the three-dimensional model is used to determine whether the at least one route is free of obstacles for GPS navigation of the at least one aerobot.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

tracking, in real time, at least one aerobot not in the multiple networks of aerobots using an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) system.

7. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions, the instructions comprising:

one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:

receive geospatial data from map data providers,

the geospatial data including data points representing information regarding a structure,

the data points being associated with vertices associated with a geometry of the structure;

generate geospatial information based on the geospatial data,

the geospatial information including a set of points derived from the vertices,

the geospatial information being indexed across a tile grid of tessellated structures, and

the geospatial information being indexed using space filling curves;

store the geospatial information and associated metadata across the tile grid of tessellated structures;

receive aircraft data related to at least one aerobot;

receive flight information related to the at least one aerobot;

query the geospatial information based on indexing the geospatial information,

the geospatial information being searchable based on the tile grid of tessellated structures,

the tile grid of tessellated structures to act as addressable components of a routing network, and

a plurality of cells within the tile grid of tessellated structures being used as containers for a threshold amount of aerobots; and

implement management of multiple networks of aerobots based on the geospatial information, the flight information, and the aircraft data,

the multiple networks of aerobots including the at least one aerobot.

8. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 7 , where the tile grid of tessellated structures comprises a plurality of adjacent shapes.

9. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 7 , where the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the one or more processors to:

obtain image information for generating a three-dimensional model of at least one route for use by the at least one aerobot,

where the three-dimensional model is used to determine whether the at least one route is free of obstacles for GPS navigation of the at least one aerobot.

10. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 7 , where the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the one or more processors to:

track, in real time, at least one aerobot not in the multiple networks of aerobots using an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) system.

11. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 7 , where the one or more instructions, that cause the one or more processors to receive the aircraft data, cause the one or more processors to:

receive the aircraft data for use in at least one of:

offline analysis,

data mining, or

non-real-time applications.

12. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 7 , where the set of points represent a circle and include:

a center point of the circle, and

a radius of the circle.

13. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 7 , where the set of points represent an arc and include:

a center point of the arc,

a radius of the arc,

a start angle, and

an end angle.

14. A device, comprising:

one or more memories; and

one or more processors, communicatively coupled to the one or more memories, to:

receive geospatial data from data sources,

the geospatial data including data points representing information regarding a structure,

the data points being associated with vertices associated with a geometry of the structure;

generate geospatial information based on the geospatial data,

the geospatial information including a set of points derived from the vertices,

the geospatial information being indexed across a tile grid of tessellated structures, and

the geospatial information being indexed using space filling curves;

store geospatial information and associated metadata across the tile grid of tessellated structures;

receive flight information related to at least one aerobot;

receive aircraft data related to the at least one aerobot;

query the geospatial information based on indexing the geospatial information,

the geospatial information being searchable based on the tile grid of tessellated structures,

the tile grid of tessellated structures to act as addressable components of a routing network, and

a plurality of cells within the tile grid of tessellated structures being used as containers for a threshold amount of aerobots; and

implement management of multiple networks of aerobots based on the geospatial information, the flight information, and the aircraft data.

15. The device of claim 14 , where the tile grid of tessellated structures comprises a plurality of adjacent shapes.

16. The device of claim 14 , where the one or more processors are further to:

obtain image information for generating a three-dimensional model of at least one route for use by the at least one aerobot,

where the three-dimensional model is used to determine whether the at least one route is free of obstacles for GPS navigation of the at least one aerobot.

17. The device of claim 14 , where the one or more processors are further to:

track, in real time, the at least one aerobot not in the multiple networks of aerobots using an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) system.

18. The device of claim 14 , where the set of points represent a circle and include:

a center point of the circle, and

a radius of the circle.

19. The device of claim 14 , where the set of points represent an arc and include:

a center point of the arc,

a radius of the arc,

a start angle, and

an end angle.

20. The method of claim 1 , wherein the aircraft data is associated with at least one of:

offline analysis,

data mining, or

non-real-time applications.
