Abstract

An isolated transport peptide, which crosses the cell membrane of a cell and/or binds to a target cell is described. The transport peptide can be incorporated into a transport construct in which the transport peptide is linked to a cargo moiety to be delivered into a cell. Also described herein is a method of delivering a transport construct into and/or to a cell.

Claims (4)

1. An isolated construct, or a salt or solvate thereof, comprising a peptide having at least 90% sequence homology to an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs: 3-6, wherein the peptide further comprises a transport peptide comprising the amino acid sequence RRPPR (SEQ ID NO: 1).

2. The construct of claim 1 , formulated in a pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

3. The construct of claim 1 , wherein the peptide having at least 90% sequence homology is selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs: 5-6.

4. The construct of claim 3 , formulated in a pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
