Abstract

Systems, Methods and Apparatuses Of Multidimensional Mapping Of Universal Locations Or Location Ranges For Alternate Or Augmented Digital Experiences are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, to generate an augmented reality environment relevant to a geographical place in the real world. The method can further include administering multiple digital namespaces for the augmented reality environment and/or assigning a virtual object of the augmented reality environment to a digital namespace of the multiple digital namespaces. The multiple digital namespaces are associated with the geographical place in the real world.

Claims (108)

1 . A method to generate an augmented reality environment relevant to a geographical place in the real world, the method, comprising:

administering multiple digital namespaces for the augmented reality environment;

wherein, the multiple digital namespaces are associated with the geographical place in the real world;

assigning a virtual object of the augmented reality environment to a digital namespace of the multiple digital namespaces;

managing human perceptibility of the virtual object via the augmented reality environment, based on an attribute associated with the digital namespace to which the virtual object is assigned.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein,

the attribute of the digital namespace includes a cost requirement for association with the digital name space;

wherein, the cost requirement is to be met to publish or to associate another virtual object to the digital namespace;

wherein, relative visibility or relative perceptibility of the virtual object with respect to other virtual objects in the digital name space is configurable.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein,

the digital namespace is managed by a platform host of the augmented reality environment and of a public type;

wherein, the virtual object is assigned to the digital namespace of the public type in response to determining that a cost requirement for placement of the virtual object has been met;

the attribute of the digital namespace at least in part based on a type of the digital namespace;

the digital namespace is one of: a public type, a personal type, and a group type.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

prioritizing presentation in the augmented reality environment, to a human user, the virtual object associated with the digital namespace for which the human user is an owner, over other virtual objects associated with other digital name spaces;

further wherein, the attribute of the digital namespace is at least in part configured by the owner of the digital namespace;

wherein, the digital namespace is of a personal type.

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein,

the virtual object associated with the digital namespace of the personal type is perceptible to a human user who is the owner;

further comprising enabling the human user who is the owner to configure policy settings of the attributes to govern:

perceptibility of the virtual object to a second human user or a user group of the augmented reality environment;

permission configuration for a second virtual object owned by the second human user or the user group to associate the second virtual object with the digital namespace.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein,

the attributes of the digital name space are at least in part configured by an owner of the digital name space;

wherein, the digital namespace is of a group type;

wherein, the owner of the digital namespace includes a group entity comprised of a group of human users.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein,

the group entity includes admin user and one or more members;

wherein, visibility of the group entity in the augmented reality environment is determined based on a rule configurable by the admin user;

a name for the group entity who owns the digital name space corresponds to a web domain name for the group entity;

wherein, the name is associated with the digital name space in the augmented reality environment in response to verifying ownership of the web domain name by the group entity;

wherein, the group entity includes sub-group entities;

wherein, the digital namespace includes sub-namespaces;

wherein, a given sub namespace of the sub-namespace is associated with a sub-group entity of the sub-group entities.

13 . The method of claim 1 ,

further comprising, increasing relative visibility or relative perceptibility of the virtual object in the augmented reality environment with respect to other virtual objects, responsive to determining that a first cost requirement has been met;

further comprising, decreasing relative visibility or relative perceptibility of the virtual object in the augmented reality environment with respect to other virtual objects, responsive to determining that a second cost requirement has been met;

wherein, the first cost requirement is higher than the second cost requirement;

wherein, the cost requirement is satisfied by one or more of an advertiser, a brand, a third party sponsor and a promoter.

17 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, the digital name space to which the virtual object is assigned is determined based on, identity of an owner of the virtual object and the attribute of the digital name space;

wherein, the attribute of the digital namespace includes, one or more of, policies and permissions.

19 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

mapping additional digital namespaces to additional geographical places in the real world at a global scale;

using the additional digital namespaces to generate the augmented reality environment at the global scale, for participation and engagement with, by human users at the global scale;

further mapping additional digital namespaces to additional geographical places in the real world at a universal scale;

further using the additional digital namespaces to generate the augmented reality environment at the universal scale.

22 . The method of claim 1 :

further comprising, rendering an avatar in the augmented reality environment to represent a human user;

wherein, when associated with a first digital namespace of the multiple digital namespaces, the avatar is presented in the augmented reality environment as having a different appearance as when the avatar is associated with a second digital namespace of the multiple namespaces;

further comprising, enabling the digital namespace to be followed via the augmented reality environment by a human user;

notifying, via the augmented reality environment, the human user of updates or activities of the virtual object in the digital namespace or any other virtual objects associated with the digital namespace followed by the human user.

26 . The method of claim 1 :

further comprising, associating the virtual object with one or more of multiple time frames associated with the digital namespace;

wherein, the virtual object is associated with a time attribute, and the virtual object is assigned to the one or more of the multiple time frames associated with the digital namespace based on the time attribute.

27 . The method of claim 1 :

further comprising, associating the virtual object with one or more of multiple time frames associated with the digital namespace;

wherein, the multiple time frames include a present time frame and other time frames;

wherein, the virtual object is one of present time virtual objects associated with the present time frame of the multiple time frames;

wherein, other virtual objects are associated with other time frames of the digital namespace;

enabling to be discoverable, via a user interface of the augmented reality environment, the present time virtual objects of the present time frame of the digital namespace.

28 . The method of claim 27 :

further comprising, generating indices of the present time virtual objects of the digital namespace;

using indices of the present time virtual objects to perform a search relevant to the physical place for the human user, in response to determining that the human user satisfies the attribute associated with the digital namespace;

using the multiple time frames associated with the digital namespace to generate a temporally relevant view of the augmented reality environment.

30 . A system to generate an alternate reality environment relevant to a geographical location in the real world, the system, comprising:

a processor;

memory having stored there on instructions, which when executed, cause the system to:

administer multiple layers for the alternate reality environment;

wherein, the multiple layers are associated with the geographical location in the real world;

associating a digital object of the alternate reality environment with a given layer of the multiple layers, responsive to ascertaining that a creator of the digital object is permitted to publish to the given layer in accordance with attributes associated with the given layer.

31 . The system of claim 30 , wherein, the real world includes planet earth and/or the universe outside of planet earth.

33 . The system of claim 30 ,

wherein the given layer includes at least one zone;

wherein, a zone in the at least one zone is associated with a physical region in the geographic location in the real world, the geographic location comprising multiple physical regions including the physical region within its physical boundaries;

wherein, the digital object is associated with zone of the given layer associated with the physical region in the geographic location;

wherein, a notification is generated for a human user responsive to determining that the user meets a location criteria with respect to the physical region of the geographic location.

35 . The system of claim 30 , wherein, the processor:

generates analytics for the digital object or for the given layer;

presents a view of the analytics for an owner or admin of the given layer.

36 . The system of claim 30 , wherein the processor:

associates a second digital object with a second layer of the multiple layers of the alternate reality environment;

wherein, the second layer is associated with higher perceptibility or accessibility by a human user in the real world;

renders the second digital object in the alternate reality environment such that it is more perceptible or accessible to the human user via the alternate reality environment;

wherein, the multiple layers includes a second layer having higher visibility in the alternate reality environment than the given layer;

wherein the processor promotes the digital object to the second layer in response to detecting that a cost requirement has been met such that the digital object becomes discernible or accessible in the alternate reality environment by users associated with the second layer.

38 . The system of claim 30 , wherein, the processor

promotes a second digital object associated with the given layer in response to determining that a cost requirement for the promotion has been met;

wherein, the promoting of the second digital object causes the second digital object to have higher visibility or longer lifetime than the digital object in the given layer.
