Abstract

A genomic data analysis architecture includes a plurality of application nodes, each application node including a calculation system including at least one calculation node, the calculation system being constructed and arranged so as to carry out genomic calculations, a human-machine interface constructed and arranged so as to communicate with the calculation system, and a knowledge base access interface, and including a knowledge base constructed and arranged so as to communicate with the plurality of application nodes. The knowledge base contains genomic data.

Claims (24)

1. A system for analysing genomic data, comprising:

a plurality of application nodes, each application node of the plurality of application nodes including one or more microprocessors and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising computer instructions stored and executable by the one or more microprocessors of the application node for:

forming a calculation system that carries out genomic calculations,

forming a human-machine interface constructed and arranged to enable a user of the system to communicate with the calculation system to instruct the calculation system to carry out the genomic calculations,

forming an interface for accessing a knowledge database,

the knowledge database including one or more microprocessors and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising computer instructions stored and executable by the one or more microprocessors of the knowledge database for communicating with the plurality of application nodes, said knowledge database comprising a non-transitory storage system containing said genomic data, the non-transitory storage system comprising

a plurality of private spaces assigned to a corresponding plurality of authenticated entities such that each private space of the plurality of private spaces is accessible by a corresponding one authenticated entity of the plurality of authenticated entities, each authenticated entity of the plurality of authenticated entities being an entity that has been authenticated by the system and each authenticated entity including 1 to n user(s), said private space accessible by said corresponding one authenticated entity being constructed and arranged:

to contain metadata and results from genomic calculations carried out for the 1 to n user(s) of said corresponding one authenticated entity, and

to be read-only accessible to each of the 1 to n user(s) of the corresponding one authenticated entity such that the metadata and results from genomic calculations carried out for the 1 to n user(s) of said corresponding one authenticated entity are accessible to each user of the 1 to n user(s).

2. The system for analysing genomic data according to claim 1 , wherein the non-transitory storage system of the knowledge database further comprises a plurality of shared spaces, each of the shared spaces being constructed and arranged:

to contain metadata and results from genomic calculations carried out for the 1 to n user(s) of said corresponding one authenticated entity and for the 1 to n user(s) of at least another one authenticated entity of said plurality of authenticated entities, and

to be read-only accessible to each of the 1 to n user(s) of the corresponding one authenticated entity and to each of the 1 to n user(s) of the at least another one authenticated entity of said plurality of authenticated entities, the 1 to n user(s) of the at least another one authenticated entity of said plurality of authenticated entities benefiting from a consultation right to said shared space.

3. The system for analysing genomic data according to claim 1 , wherein the non-transitory storage system of the knowledge database further comprises a common space, said common space being accessible to all the users of the authenticated entities of the system.

4. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the calculation system is constructed and arranged to classify digital sequences of biological material comprising only several hundred of nucleotides.

5. The system according to claim 4 , wherein the calculation system is constructed and arranged to aggregate the digital sequences of biological material of a same class.

6. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the calculation system is constructed and arranged to identify a biomarker sequence answering a biological question.

7. The system according to claim 1 , further comprising a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising computer instructions stored and executable by a microprocessor to:

identify the entity and elements it handles,

identify the 1 to n user(s) of the entity,

identify a calculation associated with at least one user of the 1 to n user(s) of the entity,

enable calculations carried out to be correlated,

gather identifiers of calculations associated with a user of the 1 to n user(s),

enable a piece of meta-information to be associated with data from the knowledge database.

8. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the knowledge database is configured as a ring database.
