Image forming apparatus and drum cartridge
An image forming apparatus includes: a photosensitive drum; a toner cartridge having a toner supply port; and a developing unit including: a developing roller; a developing frame; and a conveyance portion capable of conveying toner contained in the toner cartridge to the developing frame. The conveyance portion including: a coupling tube capable of being coupled to the toner cartridge and having a toner receiving port that faces the toner supply port in a state where the coupling tube is coupled to the toner cartridge; a conveyance tube fixed to the developing frame, the conveyance tube being movable with respect to the coupling tube, in a state where the coupling tube is coupled to the toner cartridge and the toner receiving port faces the toner supply port; and a shutter movable between an open position and a closed position.
1. A process cartridge comprising:
a toner cartridge having a toner supply opening; and
a drum unit including:
a photosensitive drum extending in a first direction; and
a developing unit including:
a developing roller extending in the first direction, the developing roller having a first end and a second end spaced apart from the first end in the first direction;
a developing frame having a first side wall and a second side wall spaced apart from the first side wall in the first direction, the first side wall for supporting the first end of the developing roller, the second side wall for supporting the second end of the developing roller;
a tube having a toner receiving opening that faces the toner supply opening in a state where the toner cartridge is attached to the drum unit, the tube extending in a second direction crossing the first direction, the tube positioned at the first side wall of the developing frame;
a conveyance member extending in the second direction, at least a part of the conveyance member being positioned inside the tube; and
a first shutter movable from a first closed position at which the toner receiving opening is closed to a first open position at which the toner receiving opening is opened in response to movement of attaching the toner cartridge to the drum unit,
wherein the first shutter moves between the first closed position and the first open position in the second direction.
2. The process cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the photosensitive drum is arranged with the toner cartridge in the second direction in a state where the toner cartridge is attached to the drum unit.
3. The process cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the toner cartridge is attachable to the drum unit in the second direction.
4. The process cartridge according to claim 3 , wherein the developing unit includes a supply roller extending in the first direction, the supply roller being positioned in the developing frame.
5. The process cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the tube has a cylindrical shape.
6. The process cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the conveyance member is a coil spring.
7. The process cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the developing unit includes a first screw extending in the first direction, the first screw being positioned in the developing frame.
8. The process cartridge according to claim 7 , wherein the developing unit includes a second screw extending in the first direction, the second screw being positioned in the developing frame and spaced away from the first screw in the second direction.
9. The process cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the drum unit includes a frame for supporting the photosensitive drum and the developing unit.
10. The process cartridge according to claim 9 , wherein the frame includes a guide recess for guiding the toner cartridge.
11. The process cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the toner cartridge includes a second shutter movable from a second closed position at which the toner supply opening is closed to a second open position at which the toner supply opening is opened in response to movement of attaching the toner cartridge to the drum unit.
12. The process cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the developing unit includes:
a developing gear rotatable with the developing roller, the developing gear positioned at the first side wall of the developing frame; and
a conveyance gear rotatable with the conveyance member, the conveyance gear positioned at the first side wall of the developing frame.
13. A process cartridge comprising:
a toner cartridge having a toner supply opening; and
a drum unit including:
a photosensitive drum extending in a first direction; and
a developing unit including:
a developing roller extending in the first direction, the developing roller having a first end and a second end spaced apart from the first end in the first direction;
a developing frame having a first side wall and a second side wall spaced apart from the first side wall in the first direction, the first side wall for supporting the first end of the developing roller, the second side wall for supporting the second end of the developing roller;
a tube having a toner receiving opening that faces the toner supply opening in a state where the toner cartridge is attached to the drum unit, the tube extending in a second direction crossing the first direction, the tube positioned at the first side wall of the developing frame;
a conveyance member extending in the second direction, at least a part of the conveyance member being positioned inside the tube; and
a first shutter movable from a first closed position at which the toner receiving opening is closed to a first open position at which the toner receiving opening is opened in response to movement of attaching the toner cartridge to the drum unit,
wherein the drum unit includes a frame for supporting the photosensitive drum and the developing unit, and
wherein the frame includes a drum handle pivotable about an axis extending in the first direction.
14. The process cartridge according to claim 13 , wherein the frame includes a guide recess for guiding the toner cartridge.
15. A process cartridge comprising:
a toner cartridge having a toner supply opening; and
a drum unit including:
a photosensitive drum extending in a first direction; and
a developing unit including:
a developing roller extending in the first direction, the developing roller having a first end and a second end spaced apart from the first end in the first direction;
a developing frame having a first side wall and a second side wall spaced apart from the first side wall in the first direction, the first side wall for supporting the first end of the developing roller, the second side wall for supporting the second end of the developing roller;
a tube having a toner receiving opening that faces the toner supply opening in a state where the toner cartridge is attached to the drum unit, the tube extending in a second direction crossing the first direction, the tube positioned at the first side wall of the developing frame;
a conveyance member extending in the second direction, at least a part of the conveyance member being positioned inside the tube; and
a first shutter movable from a first closed position at which the toner receiving opening is closed to a first open position at which the toner receiving opening is opened in response to movement of attaching the toner cartridge to the drum unit,
wherein the drum unit includes a frame for supporting the photosensitive drum and the developing unit. and
wherein the developing frame is configured to swing with respect to the frame.
16. The process cartridge according to claim 15 , wherein the frame includes a guide recess for guiding the toner cartridge.
