Abstract

An artificial intelligence response system comprises a centralized system having associated therewith a trained database, a tends engine, and a plurality of patient records, a plurality of interconnected entities connected over a network to the centralized system, and a voice-activated assistant device connected over the network to the centralized system and to the interconnected entities, the voice-activated assistant device including a memory operatively coupled to a processor, wherein the processor is configured to receive medical information pertaining to a patient's health from the centralized system, request a treatment regimen for the patient from the centralized system, receive a voice command from a medical professional to retrieve additional medical information, request additional medical information in response to the voice command, and request one or more actions related to treating a patient.

Claims (51)

1. An artificial intelligence response system, the system comprising:

a centralized system including associated therewith a trained database, a trends engine, and a plurality of patient records;

a plurality of interconnected entities connected over a network to the centralized system; and

a voice-activated assistant device connected over the network to the centralized system and to the interconnected entities, the voice-activated assistant device including a memory operatively coupled to at least one processor;

a speech recognition engine contained within the memory for identifying a voice command from a medical professional;

a user recognition engine within the memory for determining if the voice command comes from an authorized individual;

wherein the at least one processor is configured to:

receive test results pertaining to a patient from the centralized system;

receive a first voice command to request a treatment regimen from the medical professional;

determine if the medical professional is the authorized individual responsive to the first voice command using the user recognition engine;

request a treatment regimen for a patient from the centralized system in response to the first voice command if the medical professional is determined to be the authorized individual;

receive a second voice command from the medical professional to update medical records for the patient;

determine if the medical professional is the authorized individual responsive to the second voice command using the user recognition engine;

update the medical records for the patient in response to the second voice command if the medical professional is determined to be the authorized individual; and

performing one or more actions related to treating the patient.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the voice command from the medical professional includes a request for research information on a particular medical condition.

3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to request additional medical information in response to the voice command by requesting the research information on the particular medical condition from a research database disposed over a network.

4. The system of claim 3 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to save the research information on the particular medical condition to a patient file.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more actions related to treating the patient include

requesting a prescription based on the treatment regimen.

6. The system of claim 5 , wherein, to request the prescription based on the treatment regimen, the at least one processor is further configured to:

receive a voice data request for the prescription;

transmit a prescription request to a compounding pharmacy system over a network; and

receive a confirmation of receipt of the prescription request from the compounding pharmacy system.

7. The system of claim 6 , wherein, to update a patient record, the at least one processor is further configured to store the confirmation of receipt of the prescription request from the compounding pharmacy system in association with the patient record.

8. The system of claim 5 , wherein, to update a patient record, the at least one processor is further configured to store, in association with the patient record, at least one of the treatment regimen or an overall health report.

9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to determine, via the trends engine, that a potential trend is found in an amount that is above a threshold.

10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the threshold is at least one of a certain number of instances of a condition or a percentage of patients related to a trend demographic.

11. A method of an artificial intelligence response system, the method comprising:

receiving, by a voice-activated assistant device, test results pertaining to a patient from a centralized system, wherein the voice-activated assistant device is connected over a network to the centralized system and to a plurality of interconnected entities, and wherein the centralized system includes associated therewith a trained database, a trends engine, and a plurality of patient records;

receiving, by the voice-activated assistance device, a first voice command to request a treatment regimen from a medical professional;

determining, by the voice-activated assistance device, if the medical professional is an authorized individual responsive to the first voice command using a user recognition engine;

requesting, by the voice-activated assistant device, a treatment regimen for a patient from the centralized system in response to the first voice command if the medical professional is determined to be the authorized individual;

receiving, by the voice-activated assistant device, a second voice command from the medical professional to update medical records for the patient;

determining, by the voice-activated assistant device, if the medical professional is the authorized individual responsive to the second voice command;

updating, by the voice-activated assistant device, the medical records for the patient in response to the second voice command if the medical professional is determined to be the authorized individual; and

performing, by the voice-activated assistant device, one or more actions related to treating the patient.

12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the voice command from the medical professional includes a request for research information on a particular medical condition.

13. The method of claim 12 , wherein requesting the additional medical information in response to the voice command includes requesting, by the voice-activated assistant device, the research information on the particular medical condition from a research database disposed over a network.

14. The method of claim 13 , further comprising saving, by the voice-activated assistant device, the research information on the particular medical condition to a patient file.

15. The method of claim 11 , wherein the one or more actions related to treating the patient include at least one of:

requesting, by the voice-activated assistant device, a prescription based on the treatment regimen; or

updating, by the voice-activated assistant device, a patient record.

16. The method of claim 15 , wherein requesting the prescription based on the treatment regimen includes:

receiving, by the voice-activated assistant device, a voice data request for the prescription;

transmitting, by the voice-activated assistant device, a prescription request to a compounding pharmacy system over a network; and

receiving, by the voice-activated assistant device, a confirmation of receipt of the prescription request from the compounding pharmacy system.

17. The method of claim 16 , wherein updating the patient record includes storing, by the voice-activated assistant device, the confirmation of receipt of the prescription request from the compounding pharmacy system in association with the patient record.

18. The method of claim 15 , wherein updating the patient record include storing, by the voice-activated assistant device, in association with the patient record, at least one of the treatment regimen or an overall health report.

19. The method of claim 11 , further comprising determining, by the voice-activated assistant device via the trends engine, that a potential trend is found in an amount that is above a threshold.

20. The method of claim 19 , wherein the threshold is at least one of a certain number of instances of a condition or a percentage of patients related to a trend demographic.
