Trefoil family factor proteins and uses thereof
View Patent ↗The invention provides for methods for treating an inflammatory disease of the digestive system in a subject by administering a trefoil family molecule. The invention provides for methods for treating a digestive system cancer in a subject by administering a trefoil family molecule. The invention provides for methods for cell proliferation in a subject by administering a trefoil family molecule.
1. An isolated polypeptide comprising a carboxy-terminal peptide (CTP) domain fused to a TFF2 protein, wherein the CTP domain comprises the C-terminal domain of the beta subunit of the human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG).
2. The isolated polypeptide of claim 1 wherein one CTP domain is fused to the C-terminus of the TFF2 protein.
3. The isolated polypeptide of claim 1 wherein two CTP domains are fused in tandem to the C-terminus of the TFF2 protein.
4. The isolated polypeptide of claim 1 wherein three CTP domains are fused in tandem to the C-terminus of the TFF2 protein.
5. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the isolated polypeptide of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
