Abstract

A system for providing immunoassay test results for multiple medical conditions, comprising a testing device having thereon an alignment target and having a plurality of immunoassay test strips, the plurality of immunoassay test strips each including a sample pad capable of receiving a biologic sample, a conjugate pad containing particles for conjugating with antibodies or antigens present in the biologic sample, and a membrane strip having a test line and a control line, wherein the test line and the control line are viewable, and a mobile device having a camera, a viewing screen, and a software application stored thereon, wherein the software application provides executable instructions to capture an image of the testing device, process an image to determine pixel count and line intensity of the test line of each of the plurality of immunoassay test strips, and present test results on the viewing screen.

Claims (29)

1 . A testing apparatus, comprising,

a housing;

one or more biologic sample wells disposed in a surface of the housing for receiving a biologic sample;

a plurality of test strips secured to the housing, each disposed below one of the one or more biologic sample wells, and each one of the plurality of test strips including:

a viewable surface;

a test region containing test strip specific antigens or antibodies;

a control region containing test strip specific control antigens or antibodies;

a membrane connecting one of the one or more biologic sample wells to the test region and to the control region such that the biologic sample is first wicked to the test region and then to the control region, thus conveying antigens or antibodies in the test region to the control region;

the plurality of test strips secured in an adjacent relationship in close viewable proximity to each other by a user;

a first one of the plurality of test strips containing Zika specific antigens in the test region of the first one of the plurality of test strips and antibodies in the control region of the first one of the plurality of test strips for binding with the Zika specific antigens

a second one of the plurality of test strips containing antigens specific to an infection capable of infecting a fetus in the test region of the second one of the plurality of test strips and antibodies in the control region of the second one of the plurality of test strips for binding with the antigens specific to the infection capable of infecting a fetus; and

a third one of the plurality of test strips containing hCG specific antibodies in the test region of the third one of the plurality of test strips and antibodies in the control region of the third one of the plurality of test strips for binding with the hCG specific antibodies.

2 . The testing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the test region of the first one of the plurality of test strips, the test region of the second one of the plurality of test strips, and the test region of the third one of the plurality of test strips are oriented in the same direction.

3 . The testing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the one or more biologic sample wells are disposed at one end of the housing.

4 . The testing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the one or more biologic sample wells include two sample wells disposed on opposite sides of the housing.

5 . The testing apparatus of claim 4 , wherein each of the two sample wells receive a different biologic.

6 . The testing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the testing apparatus is associated with a single user.

7 . The testing apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the single user deposits the biologic sample within the one or more biologic sample wells to apply the biologic sample to at least the first one of the plurality of test strips, the second one of the plurality of test strips, and the third one of the plurality of test strips at substantially the same time.

8 . The testing apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a wall disposed within the housing, wherein the wall separates at least the first one of the plurality of test strips, the second one of the plurality of test strips, and the third one of the plurality of test strips from each other.

9 . The testing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein each one of the plurality of test strips further include a sample pad capable of receiving the biologic sample deposited in the one or more biologic sample wells.

10 . The testing apparatus of claim 9 , wherein each one of the plurality of test strips further includes a conjugate pad including particles for conjugating with antibodies or antigens present in the biologic sample.

11 . The testing apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the conjugate pad includes gold particles.

12 . The testing apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the conjugate pad includes latex particles.

13 . The testing apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising, one or more windows disposed on the housing.

14 . The testing apparatus of claim 13 , wherein each of the one or more windows is associated with one of the plurality of test strips.

15 . The testing apparatus of claim 14 wherein the test region and the control region of each one of the plurality of test strips are viewable through the associated one or more windows.

16 . The testing apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising an alignment target disposed on a surface of the housing.

17 . The testing apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the alignment target triggers a mobile device to capture an image of the testing apparatus.

18 . The testing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein each test line of the plurality of test strips provides test results indicating a positive or negative result.
