Abstract

The present invention relates to a resin composition comprising a polyarylene sulfide having an α (branch ratio) of 0.4 to 0.7 according to the Mark-Houwink equation, a glass fiber, and a compatibilizer, wherein the resin composition is suitable for the manufacture of thin film parts due to having excellent ductility and dimensional stability.

Claims (12)

1 . A resin composition comprising polyarylene sulfide having 0.4 to 0.7 of α (branch ratio) in Mark-Houwink equation, a glass fiber and a compatibilizer.

2 . The resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the polyarylene sulfide has a number average molecular weight of 5,000 to 50,000.

3 . The resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the polyarylene sulfide has a melt viscosity of 10 to 50,000 poise at 300° C.

4 . The resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the glass fiber has an average diameter of 6 to 15 μm and an average length of 2 to 5 mm.

5 . The resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the glass fiber is surface-treated with a silane having an epoxy group, an amino group, or both.

6 . The resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the compatibilizer is a silane-based compound.

7 . The resin composition according to claim 6 , wherein the silane-based compound is selected from an epoxy silane, a mercaptosilane, an amino silane, and a combination thereof.

8 . The resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the resin composition comprises 40 to 70 wt % of the polyarylene sulfide, 20 to 60 wt % of the glass fiber, and 0.01 to 1.5 wt % of the compatibilizer.

9 . The resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein a molding shrinkage ratio of an injection-molded square specimen of the resin composition as represented by Equation 1 is 0.9 to 1.0:

Molding shrinkage ratio=transverse direction (TD) length/longitudinal direction (MD) length.  [Equation 1]

10 . A molded article prepared by molding the resin composition according to claim 1 .

11 . The molded article of claim 10 , wherein the molded article is an automobile part, an electric part, or an electronic part.
