Claims (10)

. A primer composition comprising, based on the total weight of the composition, an organic solvent; an aldimine; an alkoxysilane; a non-reactive film forming resin; a polyisocyanate prepolymer; a reactive modifier; a catalyst; and an isocyanate stabilizer.

. The primer composition of claim 1 further comprising less than 10 wt. % of an epoxy resin.

. The primer composition of claim 2 wherein the epoxy resin is a diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A.

. The primer composition of claim 1 is substantially free of carbon black.

. The primer composition of claim 1 is free of carbon black.

. The primer composition of claim 1 wherein the organic solvent comprises one of acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, and a mixture thereof; and wherein the reactive modifier is an oxazolidine containing compound.

. The primer composition of claim 1 wherein the isocyanate stabilizer comprises diethyl malonate.

. The primer composition of claim 1 wherein the aldimine is a dialdimine.

. The primer composition of claim 8 wherein the aldimine is a reaction product of polyetheramines and benzaldehyde.

. The primer composition of claim 1 wherein alkoxysilane is a reaction product of gamma-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane and hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) biuret.
