Abstract

A method of controlling a display device including a touch screen is provided. The method includes setting an application execution space having one or more sub spaces in which windows executing applications are arranged, arranging windows corresponding to one or more applications which are being executed in the sub spaces of the set application execution space, displaying a first sub space corresponding to one of the one or more sub spaces on the touch screen, receiving a data sharing command for sharing data included in a first window arranged in the first sub space, and sharing the data to be shared by a second window arranged in a second sub space corresponding to one of the one or more sub spaces based on the data sharing command.

Claims (30)

1. An electronic device, comprising:

a touchscreen display; and

at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to:

display, on the touchscreen, a first execution screen of a first application and a second execution screen of a second application as a split mode, wherein the first application is different from the second application,

identify a first user input on the first execution screen or the second execution screen,

based at least in part on the first user input, display, on the touchscreen display, a third execution screen of a third application as a full screen mode, wherein the third execution screen includes a plurality of images, and wherein the third application is different from the first application and second application,

identify a second user input for a first image among the plurality of images while the third execution screen is displayed on the touchscreen display as the full screen mode,

based at least in part on the second user input, display a thumbnail image corresponding to the first image on the touchscreen display, wherein the thumbnail image is displayed on the touchscreen display while the second user input is maintained,

identify a third user input for displaying the first execution screen and the second execution screen as the split mode while the second user input is maintained on the touchscreen display,

based at least in part on the third user input, display the first execution screen and the second execution screen as the split mode with maintaining displaying of the thumbnail image on the touchscreen display, and

display an image corresponding to the first image on the first execution screen based at least in part on a release of the second user input on the first execution screen maintaining the split mode.

2. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the second user input includes at least one of a drag gesture or touch gesture.

3. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the third user input includes an edge flick gesture.

4. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein a direction of the first user input and a direction of the second user input are different directions from each other.

5. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the first execution screen and the second execution screen are not displayed in the full screen mode.

6. An electronic device, comprising:

a touchscreen display; and

at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to:

display, on the touchscreen display, a first execution screen of a first application as a full screen mode,

identify a first user input on the first execution screen,

based at least in part on the first user input, display, on the touchscreen display, a second execution screen of a second application and a third execution screen of a third application as a split mode, wherein the second execution screen includes a plurality of images, and the third application is different from the first application and second application, and wherein the first application is different from the second application,

identify a second user input for a first image of the plurality of images,

based at least in part on the second user input, display a thumbnail image corresponding to the first image,

identify a third user input for displaying the first screen as the full screen mode while the second user input is maintained on the touchscreen display, wherein the thumbnail image is displayed on the touchscreen display while the second user input is maintained,

based at least in part on the third user input, display the first execution screen as the full screen mode with maintaining displaying the thumbnail image on the touchscreen display, and

display an image corresponding to the first image on the first execution screen based at least in part on a release of the third user input on the first execution screen.

7. The electronic device of claim 6 , wherein the second user input includes at least one of a drag gesture or a touch gesture.

8. The electronic device of claim 6 , wherein the third user input includes an edge flick gesture.

9. The electronic device of claim 6 , wherein a direction of the first user input and a direction of the second user input are different directions from each other.

10. The electronic device of claim 6 , wherein the second execution screen and the third execution screen are not displayed in the full screen mode.
