Abstract

The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of the present invention includes at least one lighting LED, at least one ultraviolet (UV) LED, a substrate configured to have the at least one lighting LED and the at least one UV LED mounted thereon, and a cover disposed to face the substrate at a specific interval and configured to cover the lighting LED and the UV LED. The at least one lighting LED and the at least one UV LED are integrally mounted on the substrate and configured to form a single module of a thin sheet form, and the cover is installed to cover and support the single module placed on the inside wall of an application.

Claims (24)

1. A multifunctional Light-Emitting Diode (LED) lighting apparatus, including:

a module including a substrate having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface;

at least one lighting LED disposed on the first surface of the substrate and including a blue LED including at least one phosphor to emit white light;

at least one sterilizing LED disposed on the first surface of the substrate and structured to emit light having a shorter peak wavelength than that of the blue LED of the at least one lighting LED;

a cover configured to cover the at least one lighting LED and the at least one sterilizing LED; and

a driving unit connected to a switch and configured to selectively drive the at least one sterilizing LED,

wherein the at least one lighting LED and the at least one sterilizing LED are integrally disposed over the substrate to form the module,

wherein the cover includes at least two regions including different materials such that at least one lighting LED and the at least one sterilizing LED transfer lights to an outside the cover,

wherein the cover further includes a light diffusion unit in one of the at least two regions that faces the at least one lighting LED and is configured to diffuse light emitted from the at least one lighting LED, and

wherein the light diffusion unit is located within the surface of the cover and includes an acrylic lens.

2. The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the cover further includes an opening unit formed in the other of the at least two regions to expose UV rays radiated from the light UV LED and the cover further includes a material covering the opening unit and having a property to allow the UV rays to pass through the material.

3. The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the opening unit is configured to expose the UV LED through the cover.

4. The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the materials include a quartz member.

5. The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the materials include a reinforced glass member.

6. The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the materials include a metal mesh coated with a photocatalyst.

7. The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the cover comprises:

an intake port configured to receive a fluid;

a channel configured to provide a passage to the fluid; and

a discharge port configured to discharge the fluid that passes through the channel.

8. The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of claim 7 , further comprising a filter connected to the intake port.

9. The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of claim 7 , further comprising a fan connected to at least one of the intake port and the discharge port.

10. The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the cover further comprises a photocatalyst coated on an inner surface of the channel.

11. The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the cover and the module are configured for installation on an inside wall of a product including a home refrigerator, a vehicle freezer, a warehouse refrigerator, a cup sterilizer, a toothbrush sterilizer, a shoe sterilization deodorizer, a fluid purification device, or a storage box.

12. The multifunction LED lighting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the switch is configured to be turned on or off depending on an operation mode of a product.
