SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR THE WIRELESS MONITORING OF MEDICAL TEST DATA
A system, apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving medical test data is provided having memory that stores computer-executable instructions; processor, communicatively coupled to the memory that facilitates execution of the computer-executable instructions; and having: a transmission means operatively associated with a device, a receiver adapted and configured to receive data from the transmission means; a central database adapted and configured to compile the data; wherein the data is transformed into an output comprised of an aggregate of medical test data from at least one medical test. The computer implemented method for transmitting and receiving medical test data comprises the steps of transmitting means operatively associated with a device, receiving data from the transmission means; compiling the data into a central database; and transforming the data from the database into an output comprised of an aggregate of medical test data from at least one medical tests.
1 . A system for transmitting and receiving data, comprising:
memory that stores computer-executable instructions; and a processor, communicatively coupled to the memory that facilitates execution of the computer-executable instructions;
comprising:
a transmission means operatively associated with a device,
a receiver adapted and configured to receive data from said transmission means:
a central database adapted and configured to compile said data;
wherein said data is transformed into an output comprised of a plurality of medical test data from at least one medical test.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said device is a glucometer.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said medical test data is a blood glucose measurement.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said transmission means includes at least one of a direct connection, wireless transmission, or combinations thereof.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said transmission means includes a configuration to encrypt said medical test data.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said receiver is adapted and configured to receive encrypted transmissions from said transmission means and to unencrypt said medical test data.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said transmission means includes a transmission protocol at least one of a USSD, GPSR and SMS transmission.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said receiver is adapted and configured to communicate with said device and said communication includes a signal in which receipt of transmitted data is confirmed.
9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said database output of test data is transmitted to at least one of a patient, healthcare provider, insurance/medical benefits provider, and combinations thereof.
10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said database is adapted and configured to provide an actuated transmission when particular medical test thresholds are transmitted.
11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said actuated transmission includes a warning to at least one of a patient, healthcare provider, insurance/medical benefits provider, and combinations thereof relating to transmission of data at a threshold level.
12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said threshold level is a medical test result above or below a threshold limit.
13 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the wireless communication automatically initiates and transmits upon completion of a medical test.
14 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the glucometer has wireless communication that automatically initiates and transmits upon completion of a blood glucose test.
15 . The system of claim 1 , wherein medical test data is wirelessly and automatically uploaded to the device.
16 . The system of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of medical test data is assigned a unique data profile corresponding to a plurality of users, said unique data profile configurable to include at least one of individuals, medical service providers and professionals and medical insurance providers.
17 . The system of claim 1 , wherein medical test data is transformed into a plurality messages.
18 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of messages are transmitted as real time alerts corresponding to the medical test data of a plurality of users.
19 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of messages comprises at least one of short text message (SMS), Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing (GPSR), and voice channels.
20 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the frequency and method of transmission is configurable and adjustable.
