Abstract

Nano-node sunscreen described herein enables significantly improved health monitoring and treatment of sun-related issues by utilizing internal (in-body) mechanisms and information and external mechanisms and information.

Claims (16)

1. A method comprising:

applying sunscreen containing nano-nodes on a user;

applying a physical area network on or in the user;

acquiring information using the sunscreen containing the nano-nodes and/or the physical area network;

analyzing the information acquired using the sunscreen containing the nano-nodes and/or the physical area network; and

taking an action based on the information acquired using the sunscreen containing the nano-nodes and/or the physical area network.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein acquiring the information includes detecting: a strength of sunlight, a current altitude, an amount of pollution, or an amount of cloudiness.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein the physical area network comprises a nano-micro interface configured to communicate with the nano-nodes.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein acquiring the information includes determining if a number of the nano-nodes above a threshold respond with an acknowledgement.

5. The method of claim 1 wherein taking the action includes providing an alert to the user.

6. The method of claim 1 wherein at least one nano-node of the nano-nodes is configured to store additional sunscreen.

7. The method of claim 6 wherein taking the action includes releasing the additional sunscreen, wherein releasing the additional sunscreen is based on receiving a signal from a nano-micro interface.

8. The method of claim 6 wherein releasing the additional sunscreen is based on an elapsed amount of time.

9. The method of claim 6 wherein releasing the additional sunscreen is based on walls of the nano-nodes having a thickness which deteriorates at a specified rate.

10. The method of claim 1 wherein taking the action includes sending a signal to eyewear.

11. The method of claim 1 wherein taking the action is triggered based on determining a delta of initial nano-nodes functioning compared with a current number of nano-nodes functioning, wherein taking the action is triggered if the delta is above a threshold.
