Abstract

There is disclosed a method of operating an allocating radio node in a wireless communication network, the method comprising allocating, to a second radio node, a frequency range for communication, the frequency range being part of an operating bandwidth of the second radio node, the frequency range comprising an integer number S of subcarriers, the number S of subcarriers corresponding to a value of a limitation relation applied to a fraction of the operating bandwidth, the fraction corresponding to N1/N2, wherein N1 and N2 are integers and N1 is smaller than N2. The disclosure also pertains to related devices and methods.

Claims (10)

1. A method of operating an allocating radio node in a wireless communication network, the method comprising allocating, to a second radio node, a frequency range for communication, the frequency range being part of an operating bandwidth of the second radio node, the frequency range comprising an integer number S of subcarriers, the number S of subcarriers corresponding to a value of a limitation relation applied to a fraction of the operating bandwidth, the fraction corresponding to N1/N2, N1 and N2 being integers, and N1 is smaller than N2 the limitation relation corresponding to 2 x ×3 y ×5 z (1+a), x, y and z being integers including zero, and “a” being a real number.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the fraction of the operating bandwidth corresponds to an integer number of subcarriers.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein S corresponds to one of the following: (a) the number following the limitation relation closest to the number of subcarriers corresponding to the fraction of the operation bandwidth, (b) the largest number following the limitation relation smaller than the number of subcarriers corresponding to the fraction of the operation bandwidth, (c) the smallest number following the limitation relation larger than the number of subcarriers corresponding to the fraction of the operation bandwidth.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein communicating based on the allocated frequency range is based on a SC-FDMA based waveform.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the frequency range corresponds to one of the fraction of the operating bandwidth and an integer multiple thereof.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the frequency range is continuous in frequency domain.

7. An allocating radio node in a wireless communication network, the allocating radio node being configured to allocate, to a second radio node, a frequency range for communication, the frequency range being part of an operating bandwidth of the second radio node, the frequency range comprising an integer number S of subcarriers, the number S of subcarriers corresponding to a value of a limitation relation applied to a fraction of the operating bandwidth, the fraction corresponding to N1/N2, N1 and N2 being integers, and N1 is smaller than N2, the limitation relation corresponding to 2 x ×3 y ×5 z (1+a), x, y and z being integers including zero, and “a” being a real number.

8. A method of operating a communicating radio node in a wireless communication network, the method comprising communicating based on an allocated frequency range, the frequency range being part of an operating bandwidth of the second radio node, the frequency range comprising an integer number S of subcarriers, the number S of subcarriers corresponding to a value of a limitation relation applied to a fraction of the operating bandwidth, the fraction corresponding to N1/N2, N1 and N2 being integers, and N1 is smaller than N2, the limitation relation corresponding to 2 x ×3 y ×5 z (1+a), x, y and z being integers including zero, and “a” being a real number.

9. A communicating radio node in a wireless communication network, the communicating radio node being configured to communicate based on an allocated frequency range, the frequency range being part of an operating bandwidth of the second radio node, the frequency range comprising an integer number S of subcarriers, the number S of subcarriers corresponding to a value of a limitation relation applied to a fraction of the operating bandwidth, the fraction corresponding to N1/N2, N1 and N2 being integers, and N1 is smaller than N2 the limitation relation corresponding to 2 x ×3 y ×5 z (1+a), x, y and z being integers including zero, and “a” being a real number.

10. A storage medium storing a program product comprising instructions causing processing circuitry to control and/or perform a method of operating an allocating radio node in a wireless communication network, the method comprising allocating, to a second radio node, a frequency range for communication, the frequency range comprising a number of subcarriers and being part of an operating bandwidth of the second radio node, the frequency range comprising an integer number S of subcarriers, and the number S of subcarriers corresponding to a value of a limitation relation applied to a fraction of the operating bandwidth, the fraction corresponding to N1/N2, N1 and N2 being integer numbers and N1 being smaller than N2, the limitation relation corresponding to 2 x ×3 y ×5 z (1+a), x, y and z being integers including zero, and “a” being a real number.
