Abstract

Disclosed is a first portable electronic device for facilitating a proximity based interaction with a second portable electronic device based on a plurality of gestures. The first portable electronic device includes at least one first sensor device configured to generate at least one of a first sensor data, a second sensor data, and a third sensor data, a first transceiver configured for communicating with a second transceiver associated with the second portable electronic device, and a first processor configured for detecting a pre-tap gesture based on the first sensor data, entering the first portable electronic device in an interaction mode based on the detecting of the pre-tap gesture, detecting a proximity based event based on the second sensor data, performing a predetermined action, detecting a post-tap gesture, determining if the post-tap gesture is detected within a predetermined time period, and performing one of an acceptance and a rejection of the predetermined action based on the determining.

6. The first portable electronic device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the pre-tap gesture and the post-tap gesture comprises at least one of a shaking of the first portable electronic device, a movement of the first portable electronic device in a pre-defined manner, and a user touching at least a portion of the first portable electronic device.

7. The first portable electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the second portable electronic device comprises at least one second sensor device, wherein the at least one second sensor device is configured for generating at least one of a fourth sensor data, a fifth sensor data and a sixth sensor data.

8. The first portable electronic device of claim 7 , wherein the first transceiver is configured for receiving, wirelessly over the NFC channel, at least one of the fourth sensor data, the fifth sensor data, and the sixth sensor data from the at least one second sensor device comprised in the second portable electronic device, wherein the first processor is further configured for: detecting the pre-tap gesture based further on the fourth sensor data; detecting the proximity event based further on the fifth sensor data; and detecting the post-tap gesture based further on the sixth sensor data.

9. The first portable electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the predetermined action further comprises at least one of transmitting a digital asset to the second portable electronic device, and exchanging one or more digital assets between the first portable electronic device and the second portable electronic device.

10. A first portable electronic device for facilitating a proximity based interaction with a second portable electronic device based on a plurality of gestures, the first portable electronic device comprising:

at least one first sensor device configured to generate at least one of a first sensor data, a second sensor data, and a third sensor data;

a first transceiver configured for receiving a second digital asset from a second transceiver associated with the second portable electronic device;

a first processor communicatively coupled to each of the first transceiver and the at least one first sensor device, wherein the first processor is configured for:
